Nothing new for me this week. I am going to enjoy the holiday and catch up on miscellaneous titles from the past few weeks.

Alien 5 - good end to the story.  I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would.

Groot 4 - glad they didn’t drag this out another issue.  It ended at the right time and was an ok story.  Best part was getting to read the original Captain Marvel.

Daredevil 14 - Finally over. This issue is really just an epilogue and sets the stage for the next series.  It’s intriguing but I really think I need a break from Dare Devil.  Not going to pick up the next series for awhile.

Alpha Flight 1 - Ha! Nice twist that pulled me in. I’ll be here for the first arc.

------------------------------------------------------
Dark X-Men 1 - Hmmmm.  Intrigued but not sold yet. I like most of the characters but not sure on the quality of the storytelling.  I’ll  need a couple of more issues to decide.

Uncanny Avengers 1 - Snap! This was not Hickman. He has a G.O.D.S. preview in the back.  This is Duggan. And it has potential.  Not sold on this one yet either but the plot is interesting. I think this might be a good one. Let’s see how issue 2 is.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold 6 - I forgot I said I was done with this title after last issue.   I started reading this but just couldn’t get into it.  Moving on.

Detective Comics 1075 - I forgot I said I was done with this title after last issue also!  I went ahead and tried reading it too and just couldn’t.  Moving on, again!

Green Arrow 5 - Awesome!  Great turn of events. Almost found out who the real villain is! I love all this time travel.

The Flash 2 - Oh yeah! That was awesome too. Very sci-fi and had me hanging on every panel.  This is a great start for this run.

The Penguin 3 - this issue was good but King has got to stop with this hatred for America he’s been spewing lately.  It’s just not fun to read.

Unstoppable Doom Patrol 7 - Good ending to the mini series.  I don’t think I could stick with this in a full series but as a mini it was fun.  Very much like the TV show.

Old Dog Vol 1 (Collects issues 1-6) - That took a weird turn.  Pretty good book. I’m really liking Declan Shelvey’s books. This one is about an ex CIA agent brought out of an 8 year coma with superior new skills.  The mystery of what happened is slowly revealed and pretty unexpected. Thumbs up!

Love Everlasting Vol 1 (Collects issues 1-5) - I like the mystery and find I want to know what the secret is.  But the repetitiveness of each story becomes tedious.  If we had gotten the answers by the end of this trade then I think I would have liked this more.  I’m not sure I can go through another 5 issues to see how it plays out.

Nemesis Reloaded Vol 1 (Collects issues 1-5) - Excellent book! Definitely one of Millar’s best.  Makes me want to get the original just to see what’s changed.  But I like the lead in to Big Game and can’t wait to see how he pulls this altogether.

Okay, didn't get too many done here, only read one since I posted originally  Angry and as I'm absolutely not getting through this list this week, I'm just going to go through these quickly. Plus, been so long since I read a few of these, I would need to look at the issue to remember what I read to comment further.
 Grin

Marvel Unlimited
Marvel Age #2 (Gonna skip this for now)
X-Men #25 - Better than it was, at least for this arc  Grin
Alpha Flight #1 (1983)
Alpha Flight #1 (2023) - Yeah, I'm on for this
Uncanny Avengers #1 - Had no plan to read this, but it surprised me. Yep, here for this also
Dark X-Men #1 - Gave this one a shot as well. Nope, not for me. Havok is more Cuck than hero

DC Ultra
Green Lantern #4 - Meh, it was a good "buddy" issue for what it was.
Superman: Lost #7
Superman #7
Wesley Dodds #1
The Penguin #3
Flash #2
Green Lantern: War Journal #2
World's Finest #20 - I can't wait to see what Waid does with his "older" story
Jay Garrick: The Flash #1 - Maybe DC speedsters are no longer my thing?
Alan Scott: The Green Lantern #1
Detective Comics #1075

Other
The Shadow (Garth Ennis) v1 - Issues 1-6
Old Dog v1
Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees #1
Hunger and Dusk #3
Inside the Mind of Sherlock Holmes - Decent story, enjoyable read with interesting panel layouts.
Conan #5 - Art is different, of course, but great to see a certain character again.
Conan #100 hit me hard back in the day. I truly mean that. I was pissed... well... after my disbelief settled. Thinking back, I could swear that both Jaclyn Smith and Belit are the reason why I have always preferred brunettes

Here we go!!!

DC ULTRA

Action Comics 1058 - PKJ is keeping this title busy w/all the background life and events, as well as Blue Earth as the evil foil. Very very cool to me

Detective Comics 1075 - this was very, very sad, as it wasn't watching Batman be defeated, it was watching Bruce the man, the inner child, be defeated, wrecked, and it was ...terribly sad to me.

Penguin 3 - ...what? who are these people? How are they able to be 'broken' so by Penguin into doing what he wants? This is a bit of a headscratcher where I simply just go...okay, sure....

Power Girl 2 - I'm glad to have read about Paige here, but the arc of the events aren't that big yet.

Gotham War Red Hood 2 - bad. bad bad bad. should have skipped when I was thinking about it early/mid issue.

Doom Patrol 7 -wnated to see how it ended. And I saw it. Didn't make much of an impression upon me.

Flash 2 - Oh man Si Spurrier, you are breaking my brain! I dig it!!

Amazons Attack 1 - parsed this. What the hell is going on? This is dumb. Will not bother continuing, which only strengthens the disconnect DC fandom has with a huge part of WW's metaplot-her history and connection to Themiscrya

Alan Scott GL 1 - I liked. I like the weird 1st issue hook that was presented!

Steelworks 5 - still enjoying this Steel mini more and more. Certainly not great, but better than a lot of other read stuff!!

Green Arrow 5 - I'm cool with this! I like reading GA.

Teen Titans Omnibus over/ and through issue 35 -I remember why I quit this. Even though its Johns, the pencilling got irregular, everyone was navel gazing and complaining and whining, and until Infinite Crisis fully set in and Conner went back to being a hero, this book spun its wheels.

Marvel Unlimited

Loki 3 - I love the return of 'this Loki' of being on all sides, but being on his side, but his side is the 'right side' of things. I really dig this mini

Daredevil 14 - well, it's over. Matt is missing again, as he always is by the end of a writer's run. I have mixed feelings on how I feel about Zdarsky; started so awesome, but with so much devil and Hand stuff....it made me really not care about it as a whole anymore.

Uncanny Avengers 1 - I think...I was okay with this? I'll keep trying this one.

Spider-man 11 - okay, officially over this, and Dan Slott's nonsense with Spider-boy, the 'Great Web' and Spider-verse nonsense.

Ghost Rider 17 - ugh, this crossover with Wolverine is just spinning the wheels of the title until the regular artist is back with the regular story.

Deadpool Badder Blood 2 - okay, so I don't actually 'read' this, but its Rob Liefeld, and with Perry's influence, I hunt the pages now to count how often a back ground is put in. I think this book had 6 panels of backgrounds. It's all badly drawn pin ups! How do they keep publishing this?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
