Final issue of Parker Girls!

Yep, yep.
I wonder what his next series will be? Nothing on it yet
 Cry

Finally completed a list last week, been ages, but I don't expect a repeat this week.
Also, still waiting (hoping) for Conan #2 to show up on Hoopla this week, if not... I'm spending more money I don't want to spend
 Cheesy

EDIT - And of course, directly after I comment about it, I forgot to add Parker Girls.
Steelers hang-over I'm guessing.

Groot 2 - Love reading about Mar-Vell, even though the story is just ok.

X-Men: Before The Fall - Mutant First Strike 1 - A skippable issue.  Another preachy “look at at how important we are” arrogant portrayal of the X-Men.

X-Men 23 - this was a lead up to the gala issue.  Probably would have been better if I didn’t already know what’s coming.  At least now I know why Wilson Fisk was at the gala.

Immortal X-Men 12 - not the best issue of the series but still the best X-book out right now.  Some good Colossus story building.

Parker Girls - Good series, but at the same time... I don't know, kinda ended as expected. That said, and if it is going to be what I think, I am excited for the next Moore series. Even if it will be similar, again, if it is what I think, I am hoping for some more punch
 Smiley

King of Spies - Well damn, I HAVE read this before. Gonna finish the last issue as I can't remember how it ends.
 Cheesy

F.F. - Sad for me to say this, but I am now officially done with yet another volume of Fantastic Four. And while the story isn't the most amazing, it is the art that I can no longer abide.
 Cry

And that said, I have a little more to say.
Baring a fill-in artist, I will no longer continue to read ANY comic title that has no backgrounds continuously. I mean "single aspect framing" or "transparent image" art, even if it does have a wash of color to fill the panel has been pushed way to long. If your comic, repeatedly, has panels that contain no background or... even worse... Liefeld backgrounds (one or two placed "items" to make it look like a F'n backbround when there isn't one) then I will no longer read your damn book. It is unacceptable for ANY big two comic to have that shit. I am over it. Yes even the great ones used it, I know, but they also use to make up for it by doing stellar work elsewhere in the issue. This lazy ass, two dimensional, Dynamite style crap will no longer be tolerated by me. When your panel has badly drawn characters because you suck as an artist, you take too long to draw the crap you are drawing, or you are too damn lazy to give me "full art"... then you as an artist and the issues you "draw", will no longer have my time.
Let them learn the craft first Marvel

Daredevil 12 - not terrible this time.  Setup for this final arc.

Fantastic Four 8 - Well I didn’t hate this as much as Perry did but I’ll most likely drop it if he does.  It’s got some big ideas but the execution has been drawn out way too long.

Parker Girls 10 - Loved it.  Terry Moore is an amazing writer and artist.  I didn’t get any hints for what’s next so Perry will have to tell us his theory.

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 18 - Surprisingly good! Retelling of origin stories are usually just ok but this one is quite fun.

The Penguin 0 - was this a reprint? I know I’ve read it before.

The Vigil 4 - Answers are starting to come with this issue. I’m really enjoying this book.

Warlord (1976-1988) 15 - at last the reunion! And all chaos breaks out.  Really enjoying this book too.

Wanted Vol 1 (Collects issues 1-6) - This was awesome. And awful! Awfully awesome?  Great story about some pretty horrible people.  Can’t wait to see how this plays into Big Game.

American Jesus Vol 1-3 - This was offensive, cool, fascinating, exciting, horrible, extremely offensive, really cool again, then ultimately had a very clever yet a little disappointing end.  The subject matter will be hard to stomach for some (myself included) but there’s no denying that it is a well done and fascinating piece of literature.  Absolutely no idea how this would fit into Big Game…yet.

Shit. So right up my alley.
Guess I will try and fit it in
(That's what she.... No, Perry, no)

So of course I didn't finish my list this week, shocking, I know, but there is always next week
 Cheesy Cheesy

Penguin - Jeff said this may be a copy of an earlier issue of something, perhaps as it does have that feel. I know the series better be better than this as I didn't finish the issue. Came closer than I would have liked to getting through it, but yeah, I close that puppy a few pages prior to the end, so please let me know if, when the series hits, there is something I missed here, as I am sure there will be... why else make us read... attempt to read this?
 Sad

Worlds Finest - Okay, an origin story. I liked it well enough and although I am a huge fan of Dan Mora, having Travis Moore take over/fill in(?) isn't the worst thing that could happen to a series
 Grin

King of Spies - So I could have spent my time reading something I hadn't read before, but that would've helped me get through my list this week and I can't have that. Totally forgot I read this, but did forget how it ended... until I had already read 90% of the last issue. Oh well, other than a ridiculous villain, this was certainly entertaining for a spy lovin' guy like myself. Glad to have reacquainted myself. Don't think this will be Big Game related, but hey, It's Millar... who knows
 Cheesy

Space Bandits - Jimmy mentioned that this series, if it was the one he was telling me about, petered out for him at the end. I hope it doesn't hit for me the same way as I am really enjoying what little I have read so far. Enjoying it a good deal actually. Fingers crossed
