Luckily, this is still not an overly large week, so maybe I can finish it this time? Maybe? I highly doubt it, but maybe I can at least get through the two "big two" carry over issues from last week?
Of course it doesn't help that Jeff is forcing me to read another F'n Millar title that I wasn't planning on reading... that ass.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
 Grin Kiss

Marvel Unlimited
* Immortal X-Men #12
Clobberin Time #4
Doctor Strange #4

DC Ultra

The Gotham War: Prelude #1 - Jeff was less than enthused and I see Tini Howard is involved. Nope
Dark Knights of Steel #12
Penguin #1

Other
Space Bandits v1
- Issue #3
- Issue #4
- Issue #5
American Jesus v1
- Issue #1

That is correct.  I appreciate that it didn’t drag out unnecessarily.

Marvel Unlimited
Wolverine 34
Clobberin’ Time 4
Doctor Strange 4

DC Universe Ultra
Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War: Prelude Batman Day Special Edition 1
Batman: The Brave and the Bold 4
Dark Knights of Steel 12
The Penguin 1
Unstoppable Doom Patrol 5
Warlord (1976-1988) 16

Wolverine 34 - Dragging the Beast storyline out a little too long but at least Wolverine says what we’ve all been thinking.
“This isn’t like you.”
I think we’re coming to a close here petty soon.

Clobberin’ Time 4 - One of the better issues I think. But still glad there’s only one left to wrap this up.

Doctor Strange 4 - A twist I should have seen coming but didn’t.  I like it.

------------------------------------------------------

Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War: Prelude Batman Day Special Edition 1 - Hmmm. Not sure what I think on this crossover. Has potential but not liking the side kicks take on things.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold 4 - Officially done with this one. It’s not bad but not enough to keep me.
Kelley & Lanzing story - I didn’t care for this short story.  Others may like it better.
Stormwatch - Meh.  Not enjoying this anymore.
Harcourt - interesting but not enough to keep me on board.
My Family - Yawn.  Sentimental clap trap.

Dark Knights of Steel 12 - a fine enough ending.  Having to wait so long for it kind of killed the momentum of this series.  Still, one of the better minis of the year.

Unstoppable Doom Patrol 5 - Man what a weird book. And I love every minute of it.

Warlord (1976-1988) 16 - A new quest begins!  Still liking this reread.

Penguin - Like Jeff, I really enjoyed this. I am also aware of Tom Kings last few endings that have left me... not as excited as the beginning and middle sections of his maxi series, so I am cautious here, but certainly happy to have read this fine example of an issue #1
 Smiley

Dark Knights of Steel - Yeah, lateness hindered this tale a tad, but it was still enjoyable. I am only mad that
the freaking Amanda Waller variation gets away without her comeuppance in this version  Angry She gets away with her shit all the time in the regular universe, wanted to see her on the spit in this one
 Wink

The Vigil - This Planetary series with a different creative team (not really  Grin) continues to pull me in, although I was left a little confused by the newest powerful character in this issue. I am sure I will get more information on said character as we move forward though, so all good
 Smiley

Dr. Strange - Like Jeff mentioned the ending of this issue was cool! A tad twisty yet I hope they don't short cut this story, give it time to breath so we can get a good arc here. Also smiled at the shout out to
the Crystar Lava Men... or Weird World Lava Men as they are now known in the MU and their Warlock
. Of course I remember Moltar, so I think Igneo is a new character? Or was
 Cheesy

Clobberin' Time - Look, this overall story is pretty weak, but yes, this was a better issue. The humor hit me better this time. I laughed pretty hard about
Doom eating a burger when Ben wanted one so badly.
The art was good, although I think Scroce places Dooms eyes too close together (a minor bitch).
I do have a non-question observation and a serious questions though...
was Ben riding the New Gods Orion Sled Cycle in this issue? Ya know, this thing...

And was the baddie Ogdu Fraige dressed as Captain Universe at the end?
Looked like it to me
 Smiley

Immortal X-Men - Okay, I haven't finished this yet. The art is bugging me too much but I am going to give it one more try before throwing my hands up. I do want to know what is going on, but may have to ask the Realm to give me the deets. We will see.

American Jesus - I really want to get into this story, but the art is just bugging me.  Like I said earlier, it is akin to what a buddy of mine in high school use to do (although his was a space opera  Grin). Well written, but struggling with the art. Of course I am not eliminating this from my Millar read through list, I do want to get through it at some point, but I am moving towards the back.
 Wink

Space Bandits - Ole Jimbo was spot on when he said the story declines as you go. Strong start to issue one and even issue two was solid, but three, and especially four were let downs. That said, issue five, the last issue, really brought it back around for me. Not a twist ending as much as a cool one. Also was not aware that this leads right into Millar's Sharkey the Bounty Hunter, another mini of his I had not read so I am so glad that I got lucky and read this one first.
 Cheesy

Immortal - Got through it, but I hope there is a new artist on the next issue
