New Week, still going, but keeping the hoopla list small until I finish this current Omni.

EDIT - Differing thoughts on whether to read or skip the Electra stuff leading up to the current DD arc has my wanting to put this on the back burner for now.
Which, honestly, if for the best. I do have enough to read for this week anyway, especially due to all the holiday commitments and the like

Immortal X-Men #6 - I like the focus on Sebastian Shaw this issue. Unfortunately it got bogged down by the crossover.  Still loving this comic though.

Marauders #6 - AXE Tie-in - Not a must read for the AXE event.  Definitely confirmed why I don’t read this regularly. It was not a good read.

Wolverine #24 - Not bad, even with the tie in.  Wasn’t sure I was going to like it at first but it won me over.

A.X.E.: JUDGMENT DAY #4 - finally some ramp up in the action. At least at the end. Perhaps this will turn out out good after all.

Sgt Rock - Jeff, with the perfect timing, asked so I am going in... I had forgotten that I didn't really enjoy the 1st issue but recalled it instantly when I opened the issue and saw the art by Eduardo Risso (100 Bullets/Moonshine). I do enjoy his art, even though it takes a page or two for me to settle into it, so that wasn't a kill shot for me at all, but after that brain refresh, I did remember not loving that last issue. Still, I wanted to give it another try because I did like the art, especially as I am so high on art matching theme like it does here and I like Risso.
Not for me, but you may dig this. I am not a fan of Bruce Cambell's writing style, at least here, but it isn't "horrible", I just couldn't get into the first nor the second issue, so I am out. I think you should at least try it though. If for nothing else I think you like Cambell. It is worth a try!

DCeased - like I stated last week, this title is (and has been) really good. It continues to hit a sweet spot for me. It is like a crazier Blackest Night  Grin

Variants - Yeah, this is a tight mini so far. Loved
the elevator scene

A.X.E - It's fine. Decent enough.

X Red - *sigh* Also fine, but I am not enjoying Mutant'ville right now. Think I am done after this "event"

BPRD - Art is better again with this current mini/arc (Reign of Black Flame), so I am back to being all aboard this epic tale!!
I wonder how many issues I have read now? Also wonder how many I have left to be caught up? I know I am over half way, but not by much I think
 Shocked

Just finished DC and Marvel (not counting the ones I didn't read  Grin Cheesy) so a quick update...

DCUltra

Human Target - Great last panel, makes things right in the world again for me. Alternate Universe or no,
the killing of Guy was not good. I was excited to see it, to think about it at first, the GL I love to hate kinda thing, but the more time passed I noticed it didn't fit in with the story for me. I mean it "fit", but it felt off the further I read.
Glad it worked that out... I guess?
Still totally enamored with the art. I stare and study the shading on the close-ups, smile at the fashion'esque stylings of a few distant panels and adore the coloring. Just a lovely book.

Predator - A decent enough read. I am enjoying it, but not sure I will keep going. I have so much I want to get to that titles like this... good titles that I enjoy but I am not dedicated to... seem to fall off faster than others. We will see, who knows, maybe I can last six issues.

X-Men Red #6 - I’m a bit saddened by the fact that an X-Men comic that stars Storm and Magneto has me so bored.  This crossover is starting to hurt the regular books.

Amazing Spider-Man #9 - this was weird to read since the Hellfire gala ended ages ago.

Daredevil #3 - Hmmm. Is there a crossover coming with the Punisher book? Things seem to be headed that way. And I couldn’t be happier about it!

'bout time you chime in, Jim!

Stargirl the Lost children 1 & 2: Great feel to the book. Nauck looks better than last time I can think of in recent memory, and I'm into what Johns is selling. Same with...

The New GoldenAge 1: Gimme more! Bring it on! Bring it back! Twist it but make it awesome!

Worlds Finest 9: I so dig Mark Waid's book. I really like reading it. Dan Mora on art gives such a good take on these heroes and looks, and the coloring really helps too!

Deathstroke Inc 15: This title turned trash. In spinning off from Shadow War, this title went nowhere with that, merged sloppily into the Dark Crisis plans, then ends with Williamson's rejiggered origin to Slade-which Priest just spent 50 issues delving into and drawing forth into the current story he was telling. This was a dumb exercise in writing and publishing.

Black Adam 6 : If Priest writes, I read and enjoy!

Human Target 9: As Perry said, Smallwood's art is enchanting,  and so strong with so few lines, but just tells the story!  Doesn't just shows it, tells it!

Also read
Nightwing 98
Batman Incorporated 2
World without JL: Batman
Dark Crisis Dark Army
Flash 788
Dark Crisis Young Justice 6 (I'm glad these character's got the spotlight, but 6 issues was too long)
Batman v Robin 3
Superman Son of Kal-el 3
Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths 6 (I just really can't wait for #7!)

Marvel unlimited
AXE Judgement Day 4-just be over already, honestly, there isn't enough plot wheels on this story-car. It's a unicycle of an idea.
Xmen 14
Immortal Xmen 6 -was better when about Shaw, but less so when AXE came back into it
She-Hulk 6-still like this little title
Punisher 6-I want to read it, but I don't like what's written. That make sense? Wink
Amazing Spider-man 9- the Hellfire Gala tie in issue that was....absolute nothing of an issue. Even if it was published 5 months ago when it could have been relevant, it still would have been garbage.

I got a lot more in my Marvel stuff I havne't touched yet! Good thing for a snow day!!
Captain America Sentinel of Liberty -I LOVE THIS CAPTAIN AMERICA BOOK

Hell on Earth & Abe Sapien stuff - These tie-in together so much that this Abe Omni could have easily been the next chapter of BPRD. The Abe omni is more involved with Abe in particular, so I get why the separation, but you certainly can't (shouldn't) read one without the other. I have a feeling the remaining three omnibi are not going to separate from each other too much until this Hell on Earth arc is over. And I am fine with that.

Hope your Christmas is better than mine.  I’ve been in bed sick all day!  I did manage a little bit of reading though.

Dark Crisis: Young Justice #6 - Good enough ending and I enjoyed this over all. Jimmy is right though that it went on too long.

Dark Crisis: Worlds Without A Justice League - Batman #1 - Ok but not great.

Dark Crisis: The Dark Army 1 - glad this was only a one shot. It didn’t need more.  Another ok story.

Robin #12 - Nice wrap up to Lazarus Island and sets the stage for Shadow War.

Shadow War Alpha #1 - I like! Fun kickoff to the event and a mystery to boot!

Batman #122 - and we are off in full gear! Deathstroke and Respwwn. Damien and Rose. Batman and Talia.  Great pairings.

Deathstroke Inc #8 - Not a fan of this art by Paola Pantalena. But the story continues to make good progress.

Robin #13 - Can’t say much without spoiling but I am enjoying this story.

Batman #123 - Not a fan of Porters art here either.  But story progression is fun.
