Sucks about Once and Future #29. Of course you know, as luck goes, it will probably be up on Hoopla this week. Now that, ya know, you paid for it  Cheesy

Got a jump on this week as I was up at 1:30, so I read most of the Marvel I was set to read for this week  Smiley

Oh, lastly, as I don't see it on Jeff's for this week  Wink (He wants to go all big, massive arc and all  Cheesy) I thought I would recommend that everyone should have Catwoman: Lonely City 1-4 on their to be read list, to get to at some point
 Smiley
(Of course I say that without having read the last issue, so maybe wait on that)
 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Also, not planning on getting much BPRD stuff in this week as I have so much I want (need?, no.. want) to catch up on Grin

A.X.E.: Death to the Mutants #1, X-Men #13, & A.X.E.: JUDGMENT DAY #3 - linking these together as they are all parts of the same story.  In general I am enjoying this crossover.  It’s definitely more Eternals & X-Men.  I like the interactions with all the different characters.  I’m also ready to get to the end.  I think I’m more interested in what impact this will have rather than dragging out the battles.

X-Force #30 - Why oh why does this have an A.X.E. Tie in label on it?  It takes place at a different time and the A.X.E. event isn’t even mentioned.  Angry   That said, the story/issue itself was a lot of fun.  I’m going to love having Deadpool on this team!

Strange #5 - Nice twist! This should make things interesting!

Genis-Vell: Captain Marvel #2 - Still enjoying this.  It can get a little hockey but that’s normal for PAD.

Amazing Spider-Man #8 - Loved this Vulture stuff and even like JRJR’s art on the Vulture for some reason.  I’m not a fan of the reformed Norman Osborn though.  Zeb Wells is a fun writer so I’m sure this will be good but I bet it could be even better.

Time for me to catch up on what I've read over the last 2 weeks or more, so here goes!!

MARVEL UNLIMITED
Immortal X-men 5
Legion of X 4 (Nah, I think I'm done too)
Iron Man 22 (cant tell if this is pretty good, or just good enough)
X-men Red 5 -Okay this is good!
New Fantastic Four -not good enough
Moon Knight 14 - good enough!
Ghost Rider 5 -okay, awesome, I love this take!
AXE Judgement Day 2 & 3-I Know at the end of the day, this won't be worth it, but it's better than Fear Itself!!
Jane Foster & Mighty Thor 3 -I have a lot of trouble focusing to keep attention to the book
Daredevil 2 -THE GREATEST
Strange 5 - Soo good!!
Hulk 8 - really digging this crossover, and really good stuff!
Captain America Sentinel of Librty 3 -I really love the Steve Rodgers title. I enjoy the adventuring, near swashbuckling invading type of Cap, and this so far has me giddy reading it!
Amazing Spider-man 7 & 8 -this title is so weird, what with the unknowns, time jumps, and Norman Osborn somehow legitimatized AGAIN
Iron Cat 3 -naw, solidly done with this
Punisher 5 - OH boy...this is gonna make Frank MAD
Avengers 59, 1mil BC, and Forever 8 - these all feel like elseworlds tales, and what ifs? And I have  a hard time connecting with it.

By the way, SO WEIRD that all the prime Marvel books all have these single digit counts...Hulk, Daredevil, Amazing Spider-man, Captain America, X-men...sheesh, let the titles get some pedigree!!

Once and Future #30 - Final issue.  And a fairly decent ending.  I wasn’t sure how they were going to be able to wrap this up but they did. And did a good job with it.

Time Before Time #12 - Man I love this book!  Awesome one shot and gives some insight into the main story.  Can’t wait to get to that trade…

Time Before Time Vol 3 (Collects issues #13-17) -  And I wasn’t wrong.  The BEST arc of the series so far!  Can I wait six months for the next trade?  IT…WILL…BE…SO…HARD!

Ha, no doubt about that!! And yes, I am loving AXE

Time Before Time - The BEST arc of the series so far!

Man, I just wish I could get past the arc. I tried it again and the art is just killing me. And I say that being the guy that usually likes the "different" look in comic art. But sometimes, ya know how you can't understand why something bugs you? Well that is what happens... what has happened to me with this.
I will certainly try it again, down the road, as I do like the story. Found it very cool.

Got a couple in this morning.
And hey I was right about Human Target, it was issue #8. I guess we never discussed issue #7 here? I used the search function to look for it and it never came up.  Undecided
Oh well
(Also found out that Ultra has the Tales of the Human Target #00001 out to, so don't forget that one)

Predator - Ha, I must have read this at the shop already. Oh well, read it again. Pretty good. Even the second time  Grin

Strange - One of the few Marvel titles currently that I enjoy the art (Lots of bad art titles out there at Marvel in my opinion). Also a pretty good story. Love the reveal!!!

Human Target - Kinda the same ole same ole with King I think, or at least it feels that way. There wasn't much here, a lot of stretching the story which he loves to do. Don't get me wrong, it was a good "conflict" in the eighth issue, but taking this and then thinking about all that has been told, this could easily have fit in a smaller run. But I am here until the end.
Oh, and the "Tales of" issue was... yeah, okay.

Catwoman - What a damn fine piece of storytelling this was. Considering this is one of those rare treats of an arc where the story is told with the writer, penciler, inker, colorist and letterer all being the same guy!!! Cliff Chang absolutely knocks it out of the F'n park here. Is it as powerful as King's Supergirl? No, but its not that kind of story. What it is though is a very fun "elseworlds" story told masterfully.
10 out of 10... Etrigan rhymes ?

A collection of magic heroes brought together to fight the Darkness.  Alan Moore at his great weirdness best and seems to set the stage for todays Dark Crisis.  It will be VERY interesting to see if the Crisis ties into these characters and what happened to them here!

When you get to THAT moment of Action 1049, and the small littel flashback scene, I felt POWER in the writing of the moment! Really resonated with me!!!!

I dug Human Target a lot. A love letter to JLI, and also...you don't get what you want each day, that's for sure!

Infinite Frontier #1 - start of new Darkness references and tour of the multiverse. Director Bones of the DEO and Cameron Chase are back. Justice Incarnate (President Superman, Flashpoint Batman, Captain Carrot, Aquawoman, Machinehead, Flash-Barry Allen, and Mary Marvel) begins.  Already talk of a new Crisis coming.
Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #1 - President Superman of Earth-23 focused story.
Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #2 - Roy Harper focused story.
Infinite Frontier #2 -  mystery of missing heroes, new Black Lantern, Darkseid Is.  Great cliffhanger with Chase.
Infinite Frontier #3 - Obsidian (a controller of darkness? Hmmm) & Alan Scott searching for Jade, Psycho Pirate, Hector Hammond. I had forgotten how good this book is!
Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #3 - Jade & Obsidian focused story.
Infinite Frontier #4 - storylines start coming together and then a betrayal!
Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #4 - Spotlight on Martian Manhunter and the Totality.
Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #5 - Spotlight on Director Bones.
Infinite Frontier #5 - Penultimate issue where all the questions are answered.  All that’s left is the final battle.
Infinite Frontier: Secret Files #6 - Spotlight on Psycho Pirate and how he got to where he is at the start of this story.
Infinite Frontier #6 - Oh wow! I had totally forgotten how this ended!  DEFINITELY kicks off Dark Crisis and ties into those Swamp Thing issues (sort of).

I’m so glad I reread this.  It brought it all back to me and really pumped me up for more to come!

“If I could go back in time and like tell 11 year old me that like not only do you get to go to Comic Con but you go every year.  So much so that you get greeted by Stan Lee when you show up.  And 11 year old me would be like - How did we get so fat?”- Kevin Smith

Abe Sapien: The Drowning - So I knocked out the first Abe Sapien Omnibus and I am left feeling a little sad. Not because of the story, well, not because of anything that happened in the story, but the way it is collected. No, I should say WHAT is collected. It started off great, but then with the rest of the book being filled with one-shots or short stories, I didn't get that good flow that I love so much when I read titles in the collected format. It was almost like just read single issues. Hell, it was just reading single issues, so... yeah.
Oh and I read that one issue that I was told to wait on. I wasn't going to use a credit to get this huge book again just to read an 8 page or so story. I know WHY they wanted me to wait, but I have been long spoiled by what is reference here, what "thing" happens in future issues, so yeah, not a big deal.

Being Human - So once again I get a good run of issues collected, this time a three issue story (that was pretty damn good), but then we're right back to the singles that don't truly tie-in, put in more for filling space to make a trade. So much of a filler that they included a story I JUST READ... (Casualties) which was also in the Abe Sapien Drowning omni I just finished

Oh well, one more short story and I am back to long form, collected storytelling with the B.P.R.D Hell on Earth omnis  Smiley Smiley Smiley About 5 of them?  Shocked Shocked Shocked
