Moving more Marvel, and a couple DC, to my "read collected" mode. Books I want to read, but that I think I would enjoy reading them back to back more than monthly. Books like Maestro, Surfer... hell all of Marvel's "in the 90's" series that seem to be coming out lately are certainly ones I don't mind waiting on, except... of course...  I am trying the FF stuff, as I am a whore (interested to see if I wait on that to be done) and I was already kind of psyched for Variants when I saw it at the LCS a few months back. Hoping I can wait on those pretty easy, while others like Immortal and Red X-Men are going to be a rough go. I think at the end, all the books I wait on will read much more entertaining when I can remember what the hell is going on  Cheesy Cheesy
DC has a few as well, including one I am reading this week, Rogues, which if good will be going over to the "wait pile", but also Action. I would love to put Human Target over there, but it is far too late for that now. That stays month to month
 Cheesy
Also, like Jeff, I will be using Hoopla to my advantage and getting a DC mini I was going to wait for and read on DCI and add it so I can read it now.
Except unlike Jeff, I will do two things differtly.
1 - I will add not just the last issue, but couple prior so I can remember what has passed before  Grin
2 - I will also list each comic separately to increase the "size" of my list.
"Just look how "big mine is"
(something no-one has ever heard me say before... I assure you)

Hey, Perry! LOVE your new avatar!

Thanks! I fell in love with the art in World's Finest when I snuck a read at the LCS a few months ago and to celebrate it finally hitting the DCI, I had to get me some of that wonderful Dan Mora drawn Robin!! Figured I would throw some love to the original team as well

Still... love this, especially with the faded flip in

Dark Knights - Got about 2 pages into issue #4 and was hit with that "Wait, what happened last issue?" crap that I deal with so flipped through to the end of issue #2, retriggered my memory, but decided to start at issue #3 instead of #4 and glad I did. I had forgotten so much Grin

Witchfinder: Lost and Found - Yuk. Horrible. Didn't enjoy this at all. Thought I was going to enjoy seeing Edward Grey in the good 'ole USofA, but this story based in 1886 Utah did nothing for me. Didn't enjoy the writing, the art or the length of the story. Next one sure better be more fun. Even though this was listed as being written by both Mignola and Acudi, it didn't read like those two... Angry

Daredevil - Really enjoying my return to ole horn head. Damn I am a fan of Chip's writing.

The New FF - Started to read this but the art kinda hit me as off a little. It isn't terrible, more of the mood I was in, I think, but I also realized I said that I was going to wait on the Marvel "return to 90's" titles and this certainly fits in there.  Grin

Variants - Can't find it on MU. Says it should be there, but like Jeff opines on a regular basis, rightfully so I add, Marvel truly, truly, sucks ass at this very simple task

Rogues - I enjoyed this, still going to wait on it though. Not sure Jeff will like the art as it is more of the comical style, similar to something you would find in Playboy comics. He may like it though. Yeah... both waiting to read the rest of theis and waiting to see what he says about the art.

Yeah, I thought I saw it Sunday night, but didn't DL it at the time. Maybe I was wrong also, but more likely Marvel took it off as they realized they were a couple days early, a week early, or a week late... Hell, a year early... who knows with them

Action Comics #1041 - another good issue.  Loved the Midnighter focus of this one and that all heck is breaking loose.

Human Target #6 - Well that certainly turns things up on their edge.  Didn’t see that coming at all.

Edited to add Peter Tomasi's "The Mighty"
Didn't know this was hitting but it did! I guess it is an old DC book series from 2009 that Tomasi owns? It seems? As this is now an "Image" title, I assume so. All I know is that this is a 336 page story with a "superman'esgue, only super-hero" type story that I never read but am excited to do just that

Damn I have a lot of Hoopla to read  Angry

Dark Knights - Man, I think about my top 5 writers today, Tom Taylor's name just shines like a neon sign. This was so good. And at first,
I thought, no way Supe's stabbed Bruce, but then I thought back to Supergirl killing the young Pierce (Black Lightning's son) and how we are starting to question that fact from her cries of innocence and it made so much more sense.
So damn good.

COWL - pretty good. Lots of past Union stuff the wife had to deal with came back when I was reading this  Cheesy, but yeah, pretty good indeed. Good gangster/crime story with a nice noir feel to it. I will get to the second volume soon. Sad to know it will not contain the complete run though... per Jeff telling us that on of the issues was cut out. That sucks.

Witchfinder: Beware the Ape - a 7 page story about an infected ape? I guess? Even though the "ape" was small and looked more like a monkey, they say its an ape. Mignola was always putting real quick short stories, little drops or teases in Dark Horse anthology comics or any FCBD issue or all kinds of places. Most of them are not worth the read, but do end up becoming something interesting down the line. Hope this does because this was... well... anyway. Here is the short story in summation.
Grey walks into a room, one guy lies dead, another just standing there, Grey points to the blood on the guy standing and points to the blood on a nearby fire poker, accuses the guy standing of killing the guy on the floor. Guys says that it wasn't him, it was the "monkey"... points and we see the monkey perched above them. Grey says its an ape. Ape jumps out of the room, Grey gives chase. The damn little ape/monkey thing gets to the streets below, bites a horse and suddenly green tentacles burst from the horse, whipping all around. "Octo-pony" gets shot dead, well yeah, 'tentacles shouldn't be coming from no horse', "Ape" escapes in the chaos. The end.
I can only assume the ape will be in a story down the line somewhere, at some point.  Grin

Daredevil Annual - Okay, a very HEAVY "Mike" issue. wow, I knew they made the "twin" thing from Stan lee's run a true thing, and not just Matt dressed as Mike to fool people, but I never knew much about how/why/and all that. This was a great intro to the character.
I wish he was still Matt dressing up, but hey, I get it.
 Grin

Rogues #1 - Oh yeah! THAT WAS AWESOME! I am totally in for this story. Loved it!

Dark Knights of Steel Vol 1 - Issue #6 - And that’s a wrap for the first half.  All the parts leading to war have been dropped.  Good story and great twists and turns.  Looking forward to the second half.

War for Earth-3
Teen Titans Academy #13 - yeah Jimmy’s right. This was a waste.  EXCEPT I did like it when Wondergirl said “Atomic batteries to power!”   Grin
War for Earth-3 #2 - Well that’s over. Sadly, not a very enjoyable ending.  I should have skipped this crossover.
