Detective 992 through 998 - Robinson was a good (enough) fill in with the Two-Face arc, but then Tomasi and Mahnke are here!!! Great starting point! So much...death!!!  Shocked

I didn't start reading this til #1027 and haven't missed an issue since.

AWESOME....!

Green Lantern #12 - Well that’s over.  I don’t think I understand Morrison anymore.  This was ok I guess? It felt epic but I really have no idea what this series was about.  Ultimately I don’t think I enjoyed this much at all.  There times I liked some of the stories but yeah, not for my pea brain.

Dangnabbit Jeff, you just summed up what I even felt after Seaon 1 of GL.

It felt epic, it read epic, and huge, and mind blowing. But...yeah, I don't think I understood it!!

Which is weird that I have so much faith in Morrison with this Superman & the Authority book he'll be putting out. Very excited for that! But I also think I remember reading of Morrison about GL is to do such big, foreign, and frankly alien ideas with GL because he should, because it's not earth, it's not human actors with forehead makeup like Star Trek. It's alien!

Well you both beat me. I jumped off after issue 4 or 5 (I think), somewhere close to that, I just ... no ...

Still excited for his Superman/Authority 4 issue mini though, once it hits DCI, in another 3 months

I guess I should have clarified that was Green Lantern Season 2 #12.  So I did finish the whole run.  Season 1at least seemed to have a coherent plot with Hal spying on the enemy.  Believe me though, if you thought season one was confusing (and it is), Season 2 is far far worse.  You might not want to bother with it.

Despite that, like you guys, I’m looking forward to his Superman and the Authoriy.  Hopefully he’ll end his DC work with a bang.

We got to get Rodney more use to reading those digital books.  Smiley

With the cost of comics today  ... my man ... you could be killing it
 Smiley

I saw those Urban Legends are $8 a pop !!!  Shocked

But hey man, honestly just messin' with ya. I know how you feel about digital and hell, besides, I spend money on them damn floppies still as I am impatient as a mo-fo and can't seem to wait freaking 6 months.
Ha, I even stayed on Thor and Hulk way longer than I should have, and those are only a 3 month wait  Grin

So yeah, not trying to rag on your choices, especially when I do the same thing

The running joke with my friends and family is that for any holiday (Father's Day, Birthday, Christmas, etc), they can never go wrong with a gift card to my LCS (the Laughing Ogre).

HA, right on.

Yeah, I get my Back Issue in floppy still for some reason, even though they have a digital option, but I still have it worse than you as I pay full price for Nightwing and a couple more comics in digital format  Cheesy. So Paying close to the same as you without any paper to show for it.
 Grin

But still, for what $15 a month or so you could get access to over 55,000 comics! Even less for the yearly subs. I mean the deal is just insane.
Yeah, we have to work on getting you more in love with digital. It may be weird at first, but like most things you get used to it Wink You just love comics so much and there is so much there waiting to be read by folks that love the medium as much like you.
 Cool
But still, good on you for supporting the Local guys as well

I love visiting brick and mortar comic shops. I try to visit them whenever I travel, too.

Yeah, I used to do the same. It's amazing the differences in shops.  Smiley

I do so love walking into an unfamiliar shop and just seeing what's going on, how it looks, what's set up. It is a thrill!!!

Fair warning, when it comes to these comics from ... oh my ... 45 years ago that I am now rereading, there may be spoilers in the comments. I mean, yeah, ya know, spoiler time limit is in affect
 Cheesy

Fantastic Four #161
Fantastic Four #162
Fantastic Four #163
- Glad I read this as it showed I still held a misconception about a certain character from my younger readings. I seemed to remember when I was younger and first read these issues that the "Alternate Earth" Reed Richards (The Thing on this world) was a "bad-guy". Not the case. Glad I read this. Set the record straight ... maybe?

Thor #238
Thor #239
- So a few issues ago Jane Foster should have died, but Lady Sif gives up her "essence" and transfers some weird ass life force into Jane to save her life. Booo I say as I prefer Sif over Jane at this point in time. But currently, Odin, who is missing from Asgard and going by the name Orrin, is busy helping migrant fark workers in San Diego (love the peeps that scream politics where never in the old days of comics and is a only now an issue. Soooo funny  Wink) but when a huge Egyptian Pyramid lands and Horus, Osiris, Isis step-out, Odin ... errr ... Orrin, climbs to the top to join them inside! Thor is last seen heading to Asgard to find out what is going on with his realm and Odin.

Marvel Team-Up #37
Champions #1
- Just couldn't do these. I "flipped" to the first few pages and the freaking inking by the walking disaster of an inker, Vince "I screw up every single penciler's shit" Colletta (in Team-Up) and the overall art of Heck (in Champions) made these two books that I could not finish ... or even last more than 3 or 4 pages.

Catwoman #28
Catwoman #29
- When DC's new digital releases hit last night at midnight (Yeah, I was up) I saw that Ram V is writing the newly released Catwoman #29. As I am a fan, I went ahead and added the issue prior to the new release, just in-case, and yeah, I like this. Now added to my monthly DC reads. Not buying it, but it is certainly worth a DCI read!!

Nightwing #78 - UGH!! Went to reread this last night, downloaded it but only got the first two pages or so and then hit an "Error". Just checked again, deleted my downloaded copy and it is still showing me an error when I try to get to page three!! Please let me know if anyone else here can see past that. Please. I sent a note to support, but ...
 Angry Angry Angry

EDIT -
I also just noticed that the Flash issue I was waiting for didn't drop on DCI this week for some reason. Nightwing and Flash have been being released at the same time for at least 5 months, but maybe not for 6? Dang it. I was wanted to jump in on that one.
(Jeff and Jimmy I suspect you may want to as well)
EDIT 2-
And that Flash issue isn't coming next week either

Clearly not getting through my list this week.  It has been one exhausting week between work, strained friendships, and Mom going to the ER last night (she’s still there but going home soon we think).  But I did manage to get through a few more books.  Hopefully will get through some more before bed.

Iron Man #9 - Not a fan of what they did with Jim Hammond but glad he’s back to somewhat normal.

Strange Academy #11 -  what!?!? They did not just bring in
Howard the Duck!
Oh wait…well of course they brought in
Howard the Duck!
How could they not?

X-Men #21 Hellfire Gala - We’ll here’s the X-Men. Now let’s have some stories!

Excalibur #21 Hellfire Gala - There is a lot in this one setting the stage for new arcs of Excalibur.  None of which I’m interested in.

First off Jeff, I hope your mom is doing better and made it home. Hit ya up in a bit

Strange Academy #11 - [...] How could they not?

Exactly  Cheesy

X-Men #21 Hellfire Gala - We’ll here’s the X-Men. Now let’s have some stories!

Well, they could have / should have ended the issue with a more clear picture of what was going on (instead of the two or three off focus panels they chose, but it all comes out in this weeks Planet Size so ...
 Smiley
Oh, and I agree with you about Excalibur, but even more, going forward, for me, other than X-Men proper, I'm no longer reading any X team stuff. Other than finishing off the "why did we even start it" Way of X of course, but then I'm done with team x.
Marvel Editorial, Howard, Percy, Duggan and yes, even Hickman screwed up what could have been ... SHOULD have been an amazing thing but when (before) X of Swords started it just all went to cluttered bullshit
