i just finished ep4 and as someone who has not read the Fraction books (or any Marvel output since Civil War), I am really enjoying this series.

Well you sir, missed a fantastic run!!

At some point you should definitely give it a try. Hey, check your library for the free version!  Smiley

Fraction's 'Hawk-guy' was excellent. Very much worth the read!

And I and my wife have fallen 2 eps behind on this again!!

Episode #6

UGH, and right when I was getting to the point where the amount of idiotic things that happens in this show has both lessoned in occurrence and didn't bother me as bad when it did happen and then this episode reared its foolish head.

I'm only about halfway through this one episode but I had to take a break as the "stupidity level" of this show just shot up to 180%.

All of these explosions, gunshots, fires, power surges and, oh yeah, hundreds upon hundreds of people screaming running in the streets while running out of this building (which is right near if not in 30 Rock New York) all while 90 guys dressed in F'n Track suits run around firing guns at will, yet not one single cop has appeared in any scene, for the last 15 minutes!?!?!

Jesus, I hate... I can't stand stupid ass shit just done for "action".

I don't mind that Hawkeye would have been seriously hurt had he fell into that tree. That is the sort of stuff I can let go, ya know, in the spirit of the comic. I can let go of the fact that Hawkeye faces off or runs from 8 guys shooting at him and not one time does a bullet even graze his person. I can let all that shit go, but when you have a scene in downtown freaking New York, in one of the most busy places you can be in, at Christmas time no less, and don't have one damn uniformed police officer trying to find out what is going on or help with crowd control... NO, that is under the umbrella of not me having to let it go, but the damn writers not taking the time to put it in. Stupid. Takes me right out of the show and it is such a damn easy thing to fix. Just have a cop waving his arms as if to say "over here" and suddenly the fake ass part of this show is now not as fake.

And all the jokes. And "Uh-Oh, the crowd is getting out of hand! Quick, let us four city officials leave the area, go back up to the 50th floor, change into our damn Larping costumes, come back to the street and THEN help with crowd control, because they are not listening to us right now. Yes, then, when we are dressed in fantasy green the crowd will listen. After all we are cops and fireman so that is exactly what we should do"
Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I know, I know, I take that shit too far, but damn it work some damn realism in the show. It's not that hard. The subjects are fantasy, the world around them does not have to be. At least not to being so ridiculous that that it makes the writing, acting and special effects on the CW Flash show look like an Oscar worthy performance.

This is 1960's Batman level stupid without trying to be.

I'm going to say it, Marvel movies are (for the most part) amazing, but Marvel TV is (again, for the most part) complete tripe.
