I’m going to write my thoughts as I finish each issue and then post them in clusters.  My expectations are low so let’s see how this goes…

Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 - Ok. First issue isn’t bad.  Interesting lay of the land and clear one of my favorite characters will be crucial.  So far I’m giving it a thumbs up.

Dark Nights: Death Metal #2 - Still interesting so far as our small team of heroes start working their plan to fix the multiverse.  I like the cast and even the Joker Who Laughs is making his plan intriguing.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Legends of the Dark Knights #1 - Not a necessary read for the story.  It’s the origins of the Dark Knights villains.  Somewhat interesting only if you have spare time to kill.

Dark Nights: Death Metal #3 - Clearly I should have brushed up on the Justice League book to see how we got here but I’m still ok with this.  I fear it’s starting to turn into one of those jumping only books for all of the Tie-ins.  Fingers crossed it holds the core story.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Guidebook #1 - the first story gives some history that helps with how we got here.  The other five stories are filler.  I’m thinking the tie-ins are what gave this a bad reputation but I’m only a quarter of the way through the tale.

Uh-Oh, adding Snyder's Justice League? Who boy. Best of luck.

The story wasn't bad with Dark Knights and loved the art, but I just felt the story wasn't as good as it should have been, but his Justice League? That is total crap, to me.

Hated so much about that run

Actually these issues are written by Joshua Williamson.  Might make all the difference.

Ahhhhhh. Yeah, that certainly wouldn't hurt

Still need to read

Blue and Gold #1

Black Hammer: Reborn #2
Tales from Harrow County: Fair Folk #1

Way of X#1 (Reread)
Eternals #4

Completed

Moon Knight #1 - Not a bad read, aside from a very repetitive thing that MK kept saying over and over again, but it was a nice newish take on the character. Still curious as what they are going to do with or about the three personalities, but I can get into this. I like it, not sure I will love it, but I'm hopeful. And while I also like that MacKay does work in all the recent MK stuff
like Konshu kicking the total shit out of the Avengers
... I think I can wait the three months to read this series on MU. I think  Cheesy
Oh, forgot, sadly the art by Cappuccio was a little, eh, nondescript(?) (although the splash pages look amazing, like a different artist all together) but it wasn't glaringly bad. Works for the series, mostly due to the coloring choices I think, but I still wish it were a tad different. Its a little too angular for me. But hey, I thought the same about Sienkiewicz ... when I first saw him  Grin (not that I am saying Cappuccio is Sienkienwicz ... by any means)

Nightwing #82 - Man, okay, let me just say that while I enjoyed this issue, it is much like the rest of this arc ... not an action'fest. There is a lot of discussion going on but hey, it is good discussion  Cheesy And, well, other than that little bit of 'comment', there isn't much more I can say about this issue without giving a lot away, soooo ...

I read the JL issues to Death Metal. It wasn't that bad but reminded me alot of the Atomic Knights.

Blue & Gold #1 was fun. I was so afraid it was going to be bad slapstick humor. I like my BG a little bit more serious.

Blue and Gold #1 - So I decided to go ahead and just read this (at a certain site), so I could get a good taste to see if I indeed wanted to add this mini now or wait for it to hit the good ole' DCI. And while I 100% agree with Rodney that it is a fun read (and I bet it gets even better as it goes), I think I am just going to wait for it to hit DCI. Again, I liked it, a good bit (story was good, art was good) but as there are questions I have, particularity about Blue Beetle (I'm not up to date on most of my DC character stuff), combined with how much I read in a month  Cheesy, that I think I feel better about waiting and getting the whole picture.
Still, lots of fun and funny here.
Loved what they call Patreon!!

---------------------------------------------

Justice League #53 - So it’s a side adventure with Nightwing, Hawkgirl, and Detective Chimp.  Obviously if they are successful it will impact the main book.  It’s off to an interesting start and since I like all of these characters it might be fun seeing them together.  And yes Rodney, your right.  Very reminiscent of the Atomic Knights.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Trinity Crisis #1 - This one continues the main story and isn’t bad.  The plan to harness the Crisis Energy starts here.  You really have to suspend a lot of disbelief. Not all of it makes logical sense but if you can ignore that, the journey isn’t bad.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Speed Metal #1 - Finally treating Wally with the respect he deserves!  Yeah I liked this issue. :-)

Dark Nights: Death Metal Multiverse’s End #1 - Ok. So this has purpose for the overall story.  But it’s pretty dumb.  Ironically the least cartoony character is Captain Carrot.

Dark Nights: Death Metal #4 - And now it’s starting to get convoluted.  The first Act has wrapped up now and we’re moving into the next Act.  I’m still not hating this but you really have to ignore all semblance of logic to accept what is going on.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Robin King #1 - This one was good.  The Robin King is the perfect character for Riley Rossomo’s art!  I enjoyed the continuation of the Robin Kings origin.  It was fun and bloody and the blood bath continued as we came back to present time.  We actually lose some heroes in this one!  Thumbs up for Tomasi’s Robin King.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Rise of the New God #1 - Awesome issue!  Tynion IV nails it with this cosmic tale.  New character The Chronicler says a lot of things that really voices what readers have thought about DC for many years as of late.  “These stories seem to be worth remembering. But they have not been cared for.”  Am I reading too much there or is it a direct hit on Dan Didio?  Even without the “double entendre” the story succeeds in its cosmic scale where the main story is lacking. Thumbs up for this issue.

Justice League #54-57 - Meh.  Not sure why this was a must have except to see how Luthor gets involved.  Otherwise it was just an ok story.  Might have been better but every time anyone talked to Detective Chimp they had to call him “chimp”.  And I do mean every time.  Not a single person called him by his name, Bobo.  It was so annoying.  I might have liked the story more if not for that.  Seeing Nightwing, Cyborg, and Starfire together again was nice though.

Dark Nights: Death Metal Infinite Hour Exxxtreme #1 - Lobo.  That’s really all I need to say.

So I finished what I could from the list, kind of, and now only have Monday's MU releases left so ... yea to ne completing a list finally

*yes I know I didn't actually complete anything as I removed one issue from it without reading it. But lets be honest, it wasn't much of a list anyway with only seven titles to read. In a week Cheesy

Still need to read

Way of X#1 (Reread)
Eternals #4

Completed

Tales from Harrow County: Fair Folk #1 - I changed my mind about this title. Not only am I not sure I finished (or maybe even started) the last mini from this series (I need to check that) but I'm also not sure I have to have this right now anyway  Undecided

Black Hammer: Reborn #2 - Still digging this (a lot more than BH: Visions) and really enjoyed the rooftop conflict here. I have to admit that it was a little hard for me to tell what exactly the two youngin's were experiencing on the other side of that fence though, as the art kind of jumbled it up a tad. Though thank goodness for T.R.I.D.E.N.T  Grin Even with that little art hiccup, it is still nice getting back to Black Hammer proper Smiley

Doctor Strange #7 (1975)
Doctor Strange #8 (1975)
- A decent read but I find Strange's voice to be so much different here compared to what I read in the Defenders that its kind of jolting. He is much more ... poetic/academic sounding here, which fits, for sure, but as the Defenders Doc is more ... not that  Cheesy I may need to step back from one of the two for a few, until the voice evens out  Cheesy Of course having said that, I do have to read issue #9 now, as these first two issue merely set up the battle between Dormammu and Strange. The battle for which I read these two to see.
 Roll Eyes Cheesy
