Woo hoo! I made it!  Just in time for tomorrow’s new comic Wednesday.

The Green Lantern [...] I think I’ve enjoyed this ...

That's how I feel 75% of the time I read Morrison  Cheesy

DAREDEVIL #29 - Still a solid read.

I like Zdarsky, I like DD and hell I liked the first 9 issues of this run, but dang it I just never go back. I have to resolve that soon!

FANTASTIC FOUR #30 - King in Black tie-in, yuck. Glad it’s over though I hate that it just said “Read King in Black #5 for the ending.” Then jumped to days later.

I actually flipped through this issue Monday when it hit, just to take a peek inside. Still Slott being Slott. Was totally floored by the "two days later" aspect of it. We've all seen the "... and then, later on" used in comics, but like this? What a total half-assed way to do things (or "Things"  Cheesy).
But yeah, either make the issue a tie-in or don't. Having Johnny and Ben walk out as ... whatever... possessed and then have Ben and Reed sitting, talking at the bar? Stupid. And I hate that Johnnie love thing. Ugh.
I just can't.

IRON FIST: HEART OF THE DRAGON #4 - I hope next issue is the last as I’m not really enjoying this title.  It’s too haphazard.  Makes me sad because I like these characters.

I was so going to grab this series as I am a fan of Danny (not the Netflix version of course  Cheesy), but saw this was being written by Larry Hama and ... I tend to stay away from the older writers unless I am reading the older stuff. Not saying they CAN'T write to today's manner and ways, but ... lets just say I haven't found too many 'modern' issues I have enjoyed. I think I need my headspace to be in the 70's, 80's or whatever to get into the older writers style vs them coming into my more modern era of expectations. If that makes sense?

IRON MAN #8 - Ah ha! A Hellcat focused issue. I love it.  I like the Patsy Walker stories that include characters from her past.  Would love to see more of this.

I have keep reading this mainly due to Hellcat (really like seeing those B-listers) and this only fortified my feelings. Loved seeing you know who as well, even if he was a mind thing  Smiley

THOR #14 - Wow.  Harsh.  Should I feel sorry for
Donald Blake?  Or did he deserve it?

Ya know, I remember feeling the same way, a little sorry for the guy. Not sure how I feel about it to this day. I mean on one hand Hells Yeah he deserves it, but, was it his fault he went the way he did?
I do kind of like that I am still not sure though. Leaves the weight right on ya.

WOLVERINE #11 - I’m not a fan of vampire stories (Redneck being the exception) but this isn’t bad.  I like the Omega Red angle and whomever this Louise person is.  I just hope it doesn’t drag on much longer.

What happened to Scott Eaton's art? Was this all the inker? I don't think so. I may end my reading of this title with the next issue. I am trying to keep up with Wolverine, THE Wolverine and not X-23 lazy crap, but I am just not enjoying this writing style. I think Percy has finally broke me. Issue #12 needs to be a banger or I am out.

I agree it was weird this issue. Not as good.

Crap, forgot to post last weeks last bit of reading

From MU (This Monday - 7/18)

Iron Man #8 - A good Hellcat mental deep dive issue. Liked the look of her ex  Cheesy

Thor #14 - Reread to ease going to Thor on MU. Good finish to the arc. Now the hard part, the wait for the next issue

Black Cat #5 - Digging this Indiana Jones style comic featuring Marvel's female thief. Hope MacKay's MK is as good as this. Okay, hoping for even better for personal reasons  Wink

Wolverine #11 - One more issue of this and I'm gone. I want to keep up with Wolverine, I like him, but I can no longer deal with Percy

Guardians of the Galaxy #13 (#175 Legacy numbering) -"A new age of space starts here!" Well you can have it. I have no idea what I just read. I wanted to like this due to Super Skrull and Ewing taking the title to a new territory, but damn, I'm going to have to read this again to even begin to grasp everything I missed. I loved his Ultimates (especially with what he did with Galactus) and you needed to pay attention to that series to fully grasp things as well, but perhaps Ewing has gone too far or this is too far a departure from what GotG "feels like" for me?

Defenders #24 (1975)
Defenders #25 (1975)

Fantastic Four #575 (2010)
Fantastic Four #576
Fantastic Four #577
Fantastic Four #578
Fantastic Four #579

Defenders #22 (1975)
Defenders #23 (1975)

I gave up on this after issues 6.  Just wasn’t as good as his Ultimates or Immortal Hulk.

Understand, so did I soon after that, but came back to try this one as it was a promoted as a new "direction". And it is. I just felt all kinds of head-scratchy

I think I"m back on issue 9 of this GotG. I too feel like it's not worth the effort, or it's so far...off from what I expected, and yes, wanted, that it's been a chore to get back to.
