Injustice Gods Among Us: Ground Zero #1-24 - Ugh!  What a terrible way to end this story!!!! [...] Hated this ending.

Well looks like I can scratch that run of the series off my list.  Cheesy  Thanks for the heads up.

I really need to get out of the MU stuff here soon. It seems that, other than Nightwing, Black Hammer and Terry Moore, all I am reading is Marvel. I'm enjoying myself, mostly  Cheesy, so that is good but I have a lot of back catalog I want to get to and I just can't get out of my MU app for some reason.
 Angry Cheesy
And even with that I still can't seem to bust out too many comics
 Cheesy

Avengers.: Curse of the Man Thing #1 - I was so looking forward to this, the start of the epic three part story featuring Marvel's version of Swamp Thing, and while I enjoyed it, never before has Man Thing seemed more like Swamp Thing than in this issue. But again, still enjoyable for me and now I'm eagerly awaiting the next issue; Spider-Man: Curse of the Man-Thing (then finishing it up in X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing).

Black Cat #4 - A little bit of a slow down issue after finally getting out from under the King in Black banner and all the high action stuff of the first three issues, but still an enjoyable read. Here I get to know a couple of the Hob-Heroes, well one in particular, Queen Cat and a little conversation with the new Water Wizard (Both of whom are from, I guess, Amazing Spider-Man? When Hobgoblin was good for a bit?)

Beta Ray Bill #1 - Man, if ya don't feel for Bill after reading this issue ... I mean damn. And Sif? What the hell? You bitch!!! You can't do that, you just can't. I mean, I get it, I understand, but ... you just can't do that.

KiB: Ghost Rider #1 - Finally! Closing the Ghost Rider story that started in the most recent run and was canceled far too early. Yep, if you even read the last Ghost Rider series and want to have the ending that that series should have given us, go here to get it. Yes it ties in to KiB, but Brisson does a good job of telling the story he wanted to tell at the end of the GR run while tying in what Marvel wanted him to do.

Fantastic Four #574 - And so it begins. A surprise guest from the future gives young Val a very important message.

Defenders #21 (1975 - Not too much here. Nighthawk gets pissy that the girl he likes, Valkyrie, is more interested in trying to find her husband, and then his ex shows up, some weird rain starts and we get ... ugh ... the Headmen.  Roll Eyes And even worse than getting the Headmen (their 1st appearance by the way) we get them without their most interesting member, Ruby Thursday, who hasn't been created yet. I hate the Headsmen

Got a very strange one in last night. Another Starlin comic (Pencil's by Starlin and co-written with Gerber and Wein) and man, lots of weirdness.
 Grin

Giant-Size Defenders #3 (1975) - The original issue came with two reprints thus the "68 big pages" and I went in only wanting to read the new stuff anyway. Didn't matter as on the MU app there are no back-up stories so all you get is the main, new one (well, new for 1975, ha).
Sweet.
Basically this story is yet another precursor to the great Contest of Champions mini from the 80's (much like an early Avengers issue was) as the Grandmaster kidnaps his six "volunteers" to compete in a battle to the death against a robot from the future and his chosen warriors. Five Defenders and Daredevil(? Cheesy) make up the Grandmaster's chosen group while the other side has a variety of creatures but also a creation of the future; Michael Korvac (His first appearance?)

We go through the typical two heroes vs two creatures in each battle and while the heroes are, of course, ultimately victorious, two of our heroes actually lose their battle and die  Shocked (though of course are resurrected at the end). Pretty wacky, fun stuff.

On a side note, you notice on the cover that someone screwed the pooch. Valkyrie is one of the heroes chosen (along with her horse Aragorn) and the battle they have is against another foe who is also on a winged creature. But on the cover, it looks like artist Ron Wilson got confused, combined Aragorn with the other winged creature, as you can see Aragorn has the bat like wings that belonged to the other rider's steed

It's the 70's, screw it!

X-MEN #19  - Excellent issue.
I’m not sure I understand the resurrections of X-23 and Darwin though.  How could Professor X backup their memories when they died in the vault?  Am I to believe he got them from Synch?  That doesn’t make sense to me.

Birthright #50 - It’s over.  Good ending fir the series with a final closure and a wrap up for those left living.

Geiger #3 - Bummer of a reveal but like where this is going.  Love the art.

Fire Power #12 - First arc wraps up nicely and leaves some mystery for the future.  Another Kirkman hit in my opinion.

I went back to last weeks reader thread and looked at Perry’s hidden spoiler about this issue.  Glad to see I wasn’t the only one confused by that scene at the end.  I interpreted it differently but Perry’s makes more sense.  But it’s still confusing.  I’m going to have re-read 18 & 19 together and hope it makes more sense.

Ha, yeah, I'm hoping one of us will find the answers we are looking for and will share that info to the other  Grin I still don't know what the ...
 Grin

Oh and looking at it now ... my statement about Sersi above
I want to make it clear I was not calling her a name because she changed her mind about ... what she changed her mind about ... no, only the fact it got as far as it did and then she expected ... a different thing altogether. If that makes sense. I don't want to make it seem like I was saying she should have gone forward with it because it got so far and she couldn't/shouldn't be able to change her mind, I'm saying she shouldn't have expected something different when it did get that far.
Hope that clears up anything that may (or may not) been there for those that read the issue

Immortal Hulk #45 - Finally our hero is starting to take charge.  It’s time for him smash!  I like the U-Foes in this arc and looking forward to the big showdown.

Marauders #19 - An ok story and I liked seeing Marrow again, but the titles starting to lose its luster.  I hope it starts getting better again soon.

Black Hammer: Reborn #1 - Yes! The Black Hammer world is back and the story is deep and compelling.  This is starting out excellent.

Immortal Hulk #45 ....

Didn't read a Thing (hee-Hee) you said here as I decided to break away from this great book and read the last seven issues (43-50) all in a row. It hurts me to do this, but man I ant this to finish strong and the best chance it has is for me to try and not forget something that I read two months ago
 Cheesy

Marauders #19 - An ok story and I liked seeing Marrow again, but the titles starting to lose its luster.  I hope it starts getting better again soon.

Yeah, after I saw you added it on your MU list, I flipped through it and just found I have no more interest now that ... things have turned the way they have. Too deep in X lore for me now. I will try and stick with just X-Men proper now. Oh, and Way of X. Oh, and Wolverine (unless I get too pissed at Percy)
 Cheesy

Black Hammer: Reborn #1 - Yes! The Black Hammer world is back and the story is deep and compelling.  This is starting out excellent.

PREACH IT!!!

So just finished what is sadly going to be my last issue (for awhile) of my re-read of my once beloved Marvel Two-In-One.

Marvel Two-in-One #9 - Maybe it was my early love for the FF and for Ben Grimm in general that made M2n1 so fun for me as a kid, but it has been a little bit of a chore to get through this issue in particular. I am not a Herbe Trimpe fan for one (even though he wasn't too prominent) but the story was just not good and that is taking into account it had a bunch of FF stuff in it, including the main bad guy, the Puppet Master!

Locke & Key/Sandman: Hell & Gone #1 - Great issue!  I’m sure I’d enjoy it more if I head read more Sandman.  We’re Cain and Abel prominent in that book?

Seven Secrets #9 - I was literally thinking this title had burned itself out and that I might bail on it.  Then dang if they didn’t blow my mind at the end of this issue.  I’m 100% back into this!

Something is Killing the Children #17 - this is fast becoming my favorite comic series right now.  This issue continues the origin story of Erica Slaughter and it is fascinating.
