So Rodney, how was that Suicide Squad #1? I know you didn't like or dive into the last incarnation, so wondering how this one hit for ya

I DID know that that was what you were referring to so long ago when you hinted though! Lol
I thoroughly lost my $#!* over that "contest" alone.

Barbalien: Red Planet #3 - Not a great Black Hammer universe book sadly. I'll finish out the mini but I'll be glad when it's over.
Yeah, I had high hopes that were smashed against the rocks about a quarter of the way through #1. I think I tried the second issue, but I could go no further. And no, it wasn't the subject matter (I am assuming for either of us) and it wasn't the artist, I'm a big fan of Walta and what he did on Vision, but it just wasn't hitting for me so I have to blame the only one left ... the writer

Or me of course

Colonel Weird: Cosmogag #4 - Great ending! This one I really enjoyed and I'm hoping for more Colonel Weird adventures!
Very happy it hit for one of us

I enjoyed most of the issues, but I got really confused as to what truly happened, what this mini was for. hahaha. It was good, but left me more confused that the Colonel himself

I guess it was just an origin story and nothing more, yeah? I mean it was a good origin story, but at first I thought it was going to be more than that. Maybe that is why I got confused, thinking it was more than an origin story.

Skulldigger and Skeleton Boy #6 - And another great ending! We got two home run BH series. Glad this is the norm.
And again, I'm glad it hit for you.

Loved this series, loved it, right up to the overly fast ending. I think it needed one more issue to get to the heart of it. It was Grant Morrison like for me. Just jumped to the end, but didn't go into the emotional stuff that needed to go with it.
Again, for me

Still worth it, maybe I just didn't want it to end.

Rough couple of months for me and my Black Hammer love. Especially because the newest mini, "Black Hammer: Visions" started out so damn rough for me. Can't wait for Jeff to read that so I can ask him a question that I have with this issue and the BH universe.

Department of Truth #5 ... I know Perry was losing interest but I bet its because he read issues 3, 4, & 5 at the same time?
Hmmm, that could be it because I sure did. Guess I will give #6 a go now
Morrison's Green Lantern #2
Morrison's Green Lantern #3
Morrison's Green Lantern #4
Morrison's Green Lantern #5 - Good stuff, once I get my Morrison reading helmet on
Brzrkr #1 Keanu Reeves jumps inot the comic world with an idea that has a twinge of John Wick but with Matt Kindt lending a hand (and an arm and leg and ...

) and some great Ron Garney art, this mini is off to a pretty darn good start!! Glad I took a chance on this one. Also Glad I didn't take the same chance with ...
Stray Dogs #1 - So I "read" this because I heard on the 11 O'Clock comics podcast that it had an very interesting twist to it. And yeah, it does, but this just isn't for me. That said, if it remains high with sales and stays on people's lips, I have no problem trying it again, at another time. I don't think I was in the mood for brightly colored animation cell looking dogs when I read this, but the ending, both aspects, did raise it up, so I am kinda interested, but still ...
Serial #2 - I was a little confused after the first issue of this new Terry Moore series, but this one, this issue, brought me right around. I remembered more about this character (that I
JUST read about in Five Years and had loved from another Moore series prior) and so yeah, everything really clicked in this issue

This is going to be fun, if it isn't canceled prematurely
Unearth #1
Unearth #2
Unearth #3
Unearth #4 - I love me some creep comics. Comics that can (or should as in the case with me) give you a little scare or a shiver or two and this fits the bill perfectly. I knew as soon as I seen Cullen Bunn was writing this that I was going to try it, but when I found out it was ending at issue #10, that just came out, I figured may as well start it now before I forget all about it.

I am going to have to go back and quickly reread these first few issues before I go too much further though as the artist, who does a great job with the "body horror", doesn't nearly do as good of a job distinguishing between characters ... I keep losing who is who in this damn book ... but yeah, I love the idea and the creep that is going on here!! But hey, Bunn can bring it, so nothing new here!
