Finished:
1.  Yellowstone - Season 3 - Another good season and a crazy cliffhanger ending. A little over the top this time.  But still want to see what happens next.

2.  Yellowstone - Season 4 - Wow. What a brutal season.  Glad we got one happy ending but the rest was beyond brutal and absolutely cruel.  This is getting hard to watch because the people are so awful.

3.  Lost in Space - Season 3 (Final Season) - Good ending for the series.  Much more family friendly.  Really going to miss this.

1.  Star Trek Discovery - Season 2 - on ep 3 - loving the tie-in with Pike and Spock!
2.  The Book of Boba Fett - on ep 3 - so far it’s a hit with the family.
3.  1883 - Season 1 - caught up to episode 5 and loving this origin story western for Yellowstone.  Can’t believe I have to wait for January 30 for the next episode!

Recently Finished:

- The Last Duel (Movie) - I know, not really a small screen item, but as it was on HBO...  
A great historic movie directed by the great Ridley Scott starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck. And Damon and Affleck also wrote the screenplay (along with another) and I have yet to be disappointed by a movie they work on together. This one set in France during the dark ages and as I am currently finding myself in the mood for such things (Once and Future comic  ) the wife and I really liked this very gritty (Amazing jousting scene. Just amazing!), horrible subject matter, but enjoyable flick

- Star Trek: Discovery s3 - So many things I didn't enjoy in this season and I remembered one as soon as I started this re-watch. Don't want to spoil too much here, but yeah, there are about four things that really irked me and at least two more that I just didn't like. Happily they actually fixed one of those problems by the end of this run, so that's good

They went a little too futuristic with 'tech' this season. I know it sounds stupid, but it really sucked. haha

Still, lots of good stuff here as well and we... well... yeah, I'm ready for season 4

- The Gilded Age s1 - Oh yeah, I'm man enough to admit that the wife AND I loved Downton Abbey and now the creator of that show brings us a new epic series that the wife and I are enthralled with after just one episode. This time its about "new money" vs "old money". Obviously not a high action series, but so many great characters already. Julian Fellows knows how to write!! I do find it somewhat humorous that this show is based in New York in 1882 and we are also watching what's going on just West of them, a year later, in 1883 Yeah, I am easily tickled. But if you like the characters in Downton, you should most certainly check this out! (I realize I may be alone on this one  )

Of course it was going to be delayed for me anyway because I wasn't going to the theaters to see it, but still 
(Wondering if this will start a new show featuring a new cast with the new location? It does state "A new era" so... maybe... ?)

Speaking of movies, I also want to see the Foo Fighters flick "666". A great way to showcase the new album I say. I loved their internet release where they just played the entire album in Dave's basement. It had some cool songs so hoping this one does as well.

While, here: updating a couple new shows that I didn't know about, until just now, that I know I will watch... one of which will have to wait for when I subscribe back to Apple+

Recently Finished:

Reacher s1 - I made it through. I did it. Lots of issues inside this series that bug (probably only) me, but I enjoyed the book (and not so much this show that made confusing changes and then decides to hold your hand like you are a 9 year old and walk you through a copy of the book) and I enjoyed that the wife enjoyed this show. For that last reason alone... well, I do hope season 2 will be better as well... I will be back for next season.

Witcher s2 - Didn't finish the season but I made it 3/4 of the way through the second episode and came to the realization that I don't care about this series at all. It's a shame, that felling... or that lack of feeling I suppose, as I was pretty well invested in the first season, the one that had so many problems and I was really looking forward to this season's "fix", but as much as I try I just can't seem to care about anything here. Too soap opera like for what I need. Feels like the romance crap from the show Bridgerton, but with magic. No thanks.

Currently Watching:

- Archive 81 - Wife and I started this a couple days ago and now have one episode left. A VERY strange show with some story beats that make no sense (wrote only to get characters to a certain point), but grabbed us pretty hard once we got in. Had we watched the trailer first we would not have tried this show, but going in blind on a whim forced us into both a state of confusion and a desire to find out what in the heck was going on. We had to know. We had to find out. We had to finish. Oooohhh, spooky

Sounds like you didn’t make it to the Witcher castle where it got good.  I wound up liking this season better than the first.  Meeting the other Witchers was fun for me.  But with all the shows you watch I can’t blame you for ditching something your not enjoying.

Too true. 

I agree about the first season as well, oh boy  , and certainly glad you dig this season, but as much as I tried I couldn't.
Tiss' constant bleating  and the straw that broke the camel's back as they say is that I have never been a fan of the woman playing Yennifer. She is god awful to me. Was hoping it was just season one's piss poor... everything that made me not like her, but no.
Nope, I had to bail but only making it to episode 2 I am sure I am not giving it its due. I may try again come season 3. If I can get passed Yennifer

Finished:
1.  Star Trek Discovery - Season 3 - This season had its ups and downs but started and ended strong.  I liked the ending and now looking forward to season 4.

2.  The Book of Boba Fett - Well this had a lot of problems but in the end I enjoyed it if for no other reason than my 14 year old daughter had so much fun with it.  Clearly she is more the target audience than me, which I’m ok with.  Lots of lost potential in my opinion.  But some cool cameos as well.  I’d give it a B- or C+.

Recently Finished:

From s1 (Epix) - So I tried to watch this show. I do like the idea of it (sort of a mix of Salem's Lot and Lost kind of thing), but the writing is so aggravating that I can't continue. It is getting great reviews and I just don't understand why. For example -

- The sheriff and deputy place road spikes on the only road into town to stop "Car A", but later when the sheriff calls for help, "Car B" answers. Later "Car B" returns to the town but runs over the road spikes, causing terror because it is almost night fall and tey have to run miles for shelter. Why didn't "Car B" get their tires popped when the went out to help? Makes no F'n Sense!!
- This man and his family are trapped in this town, no way out (its like a twilight zone thing). First morning there, after the family finally sleeps, the father wakes up and immediately starts to play with his youngest like they are in a hotel. No, "Okay, what is going on here?", no "Why are we trapped", he just wakes up and starts making silly noises, chasing his kid around and laughing? COME ONE!!

there is so much more to my issues... it isn't just the couple things that bug me like those above, it is every 5 minutes someone does or says something stupid or so out of what anyone would do that I can't continue watching this. I'm out!!

Hard Knocks: In Season - The Indianapolis Colts - A decent though not spectacular "behind the curtain" look at an NFL team. Was pretty cool seeing a team during the season, compared to the 4 episodes they air just prior to the season starting. With the NFL Combine starting this week (and yes I will be watching it all) I figured it was time to move on from last year so yeah, had to get this knocked out to start the 2022 NFL season!!!!

1883 - So the wife and I finished this and actually decided to try... TRY... to get into Yellowstone and hey, I am enjoying it a tad more this go around so I am hopeful we can get through it before the next prequel of this series starts: 1932

Archive 81 - - This was a little too long of a series, and the last episode was dreck!!! Wasted 8 hours on this and I hate myself for it. It reminded me of the show Lost. Great idea, interesting characters, great mystery, horrible last season/episode

1883 - So the wife and I finished this and actually decided to try... TRY... to get into Yellowstone and hey, I am enjoying it a tad more this go around so I am hopeful we can get through it before the next prequel of this series starts: 1932

I was reading yesterday that Yellowstone season 5 will have a winter break in the middle of the season.  During the break we’ll get a few more bonus episodes of 1883 until Yellowstone starts back up.  Then when season 5 wraps up we’ll get 1932.  Looks like they’re trying to keep us entertained year round starting in the fall.
