Transmetropolitan   #58-60 - And that's it.  We're done.  What a great ending to phenomenally great series!  I can't believe it took me this long to discover this gem.  And it stands the test of time.  It's going feel like I'm missing an old friend each week now.  Sigh.  Now for the withdrawal........

Glad Jeff got to read his Walking Dead!!!

As for me, I may go back and reread that Superman Year One by Miller, but we will see. Only got one issue in over the last two days, but it closed out a really good series, at least for me. It helps that I love both the writer and the entire universe the book takes place in
 Grin

The Wildstorm #24 - the end to a great series. One that is, yes, going to read so much better in collected form, but that is true of almost all comic but 400% true on all Warren Ellis comics. The brutality was great although I hated to see my boy
Backlash get his brain ... half of his skull ... wiped from existence
but hey, he deserved it. I am so looking forward to Ellis' next series Wildcats, set to start soon!!

Royal City 14 - Good ending and interesting to read that Lemire let the story just lead him to where it wanted to go.

Black Hammer '45: From the World of Black Hammer 4 - I didn’t enjoy this mini and I don’t think it was just the art (which was bad)  Really didn’t feel like it belonged in the Black Hammer universe.

Black Hammer: Age of Doom 11 - A little disappointed in this issue.  I expected a lot more in the “reunion” I think.

Black Hammer: Age of Doom 11 - A little disappointed in this issue.  I expected a lot more in the “reunion” I think.

I'm thinking maybe that was the case, a little too hopeful maybe, but overall your feelings are not unjust. A few issues ago I was starting to feel a little disconnect to this series and the feelings I had for it, but then a couple issues ago, it started to get that "old feeling" back to it and my enjoyment level and hope began to grow again. But now, I am just not sure where Jeff ... the Black Hammer one  Grin ... is trying to take us. This past issue was ... just meh. Maybe the JLA x-over has just taken too much time/energy/or something out of Mr. Lemire and his own title based on homage of that very same League (and countless other comic characters/teams) seems to have suffered, maybe? I don't know, this issue wasn't bad, but it still is not up to the elation standard that it used to give me. It has to bounce back soon. It just has to.

Black Hammer: Age of Doom #11 - Still better than where it was a few months ago, but still just missing that "punch of goodness" it used to give me.  Undecided

Birthright 36 - it’s back from hiatus and the start of a new arc but the continuation of the same old story.  I feel it’s past time to wrap this up.  Hopefully this is the last arc and we’ll get some closure,

Criminal 5 - the start of another new arc.  Since we haven’t finished the others yet, I’m starting to get confused.

Warlord of Mars 1 - Off to an interesting start.  I haven’t read any of the WoM series nor did I see the movie.  This is all new for me.

I don’t know why Marvel has let this happen.  When they brought them back it should have been with a top tier writer and a top tier artist.  This is an embarrassment.
