Happy Father's Day to all you Mothers!!!

I think I've said the same joke for years  Grin

So I read -

Event Leviathan #1 - An okay #1, although I feel they could have fit this into that super-sized issue that came out last week and it would have fit, or at least felt, better. It is more akin to a Zero issue.
Still not sure
what Steve Trevor was shooting at (Lois or Ollie?)

Superman: Leviathan Rising Special 1 -
           - Superman Leviathan Rising story - Great kick off for this event.  Loved everything about it.  The character interactions, the art.  All of it!
           -  Jimmy Olsen story - Too juvenile for me.  This was...ugh.
           -  Supergirl story - I guess this was to catch us up on what's going on in her comic.  And now I'm updated.
           -  Superman Leviathan Rising story, part 2 - This was awesome.  I'm so sucked into this story!  I had a crazy thought....
What if Leviathan is John gone bad thanks to his time with Jor-El?  That would send Jimmy over the edge.

Event Leviathan 1 - Decent first issue.  The "setup" issue for those who haven't been following along in Action Comics.  Some great moments with the detective-like heroes starting to come together.  Next issue I expect things to pick up.

Batman & The Outsiders 2 - I'm enjoying this book and I wasn't expecting too.  I'm thinking I can hold off on reading it though and pick it up in a year when it hits DC Universe.  But do I want to wait?  That is the unanswered question.

Umbrella Academy 7 -
Just like the Netflix series!!  An ending with a cliffhanger!!
  Arrrrrrrrrgh!!!  (Still love it though).

Transmetropolitan   #36 - Talk about blowing everything to hell and back.  The end to "Year Three" was a life changing one!

Transmetropolitan   #37, 38, & 39 - "Back to Basics" parts 1-3 - The fallout from year three was awesome.  But the beginning of year four promises and epic year.  Time to take down the President.

Transmetropolitan   #40 - Well that was disgusting.  I hated this issue.

Transmetropolitan   #41 - Much better.  I  do like these interlude issues where he does man on the street stories.  Well all but the last issue, that is.  This one is good though.  And moves the larger story along a bit as well.

Well I sure as heck wouldn't wait if you are digging on it. Why. Get enjoyment when you can I say  Grin

Superman: Leviathan Rising Special 1 -
           -  Jimmy Olsen story - Too juvenile for me.  This was...ugh.

Shocked Wow, didn't get that feeling at all  Shocked I thought it was really fun. From
doing a "book tour" in Gorilla City  Smiley to the bookstore in Gorilla City being called the "Ookstore" (classic gorilla sound "oook"), to the girl he slept with being an alien and the topper, the destructive cat that he was suppose to keep an eye on ending up being the Red-Lantern cat, Dex-Starr  Grin Grin Grin
Did not hit me as juvenile at all, but maybe it was the art that made it feel that way to you? Or maybe you just don't enjoy a good gorilla?  Grin
Or maybe you thought that the excessive blood from the cat was a little too much and missed the whole Dex-Starr thing? I know when I read it, at first I was thinking "okay, this is getting out of hand here", but then after the reveal it was that darn Red Lantern Dex-Starr cat, I laughed my ass off.  Cheesy Cheesy
Either way, sorry that part wasn't as "good for you as it was for me"
 Grin Grin

                     -  Superman Leviathan Rising story, part 2 - This was awesome.

That is the part I want to talk about. Been dying to wait for you to read it first  Smiley
1- What do you think of Lois being in Talia's outfit at the end?
2- How do you think that happened?
3- Also, why Firestorm? Why was he here I wonder? And Clark even asks "Are you Firestorm" and Lois says "I believe so"
What? What does that mean? She believes it to be Firestorm? Maybe it isn't Firestorm? Was Clark asking her that question or asking Firestorm? Why didn't Firestorm answer? Those three (or eight  Cheesy) things had me really wondering what I could be seeing down the line

I had a crazy thought....

That reveal that you have in the spoiler was the only thing I loved about the story.  I will admit it almost redeemed the whole story for me.

My thoughts...
1.  It confused me at first.  But I didn’t really think about Lois being in her costume until you just asked.  Now I’m wondering...
2. Not sure but here is my other confusion.  Didn’t Superman capture Talia at the end of the Special? Yet everyone is asking where is Talia at the beginning of Event.  I’m confused.
3.  That makes no sense.  Especially if your reading Doomsday Clock where Superman and Firestorm clearly know each other as Supes is trying to save Firestorm.

Some inconsistencies for sure.

Namor Best Defense 1 (Part 2) - Didn’t I read this story in Aquaman?

Doctor Strange 8 - And that arc has ended. Not as great as the journey was to get here but still a good story.

Doctor Strange 9 - This was fun. A one shot story about the neighborhood.

What did you think?

This issue itself was okay, but the overall series was lame AF!!! I'm excited about the Wally mini series this autumn, though.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked

How did I miss that announcement??

I went and looked it up.  THANK GOD SCOTT LOBDELL IS WRITING IT.  He is normally a safe bet writer with good stories and not a lot of controversy.  Brett Booth is a decent artist too, if I remember right.

Fingers crossed..........
