Batman & the Outsiders 1 - Darn it.  First issue was excellent.  Looks like I'm adding it to my list.

Edit:  Still feels like I’m doing something wrong by buying DC

Hey, far be it for me to point fingers at people reading things they could/should wait on  Cheesy, but yeah, this is a prime example of a book I thought you were going to hit up once it hit the DCU. But again, this is certainly a case of the pot calling the kettle black, so take that with a grain of salt (can I get anymore similes or analogies in there?)
 Grin
But hey if you like it, why wait yeah?
 Smiley

I didn't care for it too much when I flipped through it a few weeks back, but I like the writer and I didn't read it thoroughly so I could easily missed something (as I am want to do)
 Cheesy Grin

What I knocked out over the last couple of days -

Red Sonja #3
Red Sonja #4
- Still enjoying this but if it were any other writer than Mark Russell (Flintstones) I think I'd be off
Redneck #18
Redneck #19
- Wow, Yeah Jeff, I think the wedding did have some problems, huh?  Cheesy Going to read #20 tonight (couldn't stay awake to read it last night), but man, issue #19 set the stage for ... some stuff!!!  Grin Looking forward to #20!!!!

Female Furies #4 - ALRIGHT! Back to the goodness! Granny Goodness.  Grin #5 tonight. I'm pumped again
Legion of Super-Heroes (1956) #19
Legion of Super-Heroes (1956) #20
- Sent Jeff a couple pics from this Grin Speaking of which, I need your cell#, Jimmy
Batman #72 - If I wasn't such a Bat'fan, I think I would wait on this title for DCU myself. A 17 page recap issue basically  Angry Not trying to pile on King after HiC, but ...  Angry

Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 - Meh, an okay annual that sets up the next couple issues.
Incredible Hulk: Last Call #1 - Not sure why I read this. Yes I am, Peter David, Dale Keown, Hulk one-shot Grin
Uncanny X-Men #19 - Jeff, enjoy it while you can. Since the announcement of Hickman, well, a couple months before, this title has been ... not as good. I think Marvel broke my Rosenburg  Angry I think I am off this and will just jump back in with the last issue, in-case Hickman wants something set-up before he starts.

Made it through some more last night, more than I thought I would for sure.

And oh yeah, when I asked Jimmy for his cell, I didn't mean to intentionally leave anyone else out of the loop, so if you want some interesting things (or not interesting things  Cheesy) hitting your text threads every so often, drop me your cell in a private message. Sometimes I just feel like sharing interesting stuff I see and it is a lot easier to do it that way than load and post here (like an image of the Legion's Dawnstar I just came across the other day). And don't worry, I don't hit it too often. And also don't feel bad if you would not like me to have your number. I won't take that personal. I get it!
 Cool

Now as for what I read last night -

Redneck #20 - Okay now, things are about to pop off even more as the coup is starting to form its members. And how about Perry (the character in the book, not me  Grin) showing ... well ... yeah!!!

Freedom Fighters #6 - I totally forgot I was going to wait and read this when it was finished. Oops
Female Furies #5 - One issue left and I think this mini is a winner. Dropped a tad early, but its back!
DCeased #1
DCeased #2
- An Elseworlds story that I was going to wait on, but no way I can now  Cheesy DC's Marvel Zombies.
Justice League #25 - I have to stop reading and start over. There is just too much going on. Need a refresher
Justice League Dark #10 - Man this was good. So good I am going to read issues #8 and #9 again, the start of this arc, before reading issue #11. Not because there is too much going on at one time and I need to re-read to grasp it better like I do with JL proper (soooo much happening in that title from Source Wall, to Creator, to Negative Enemies, to Lex and Doom, to Trees, to ... WHOAH), but that this arc is so cool I want to go back a couple issues and soak it all in, again, before moving on. Lots of good stuff here, especially for fans of the Lords of Order!!!

I was talking more about my short boycott but you have a good point.  I can probably wait for this one on DC Universe.

I was talking more about my short boycott ...

Oh yeah, I know. I still just figured that would be one you waited on. Not sure why, but now you have me curious about it and what I may have missed. Hahaha . I am going to try and hold off though and just wait the year.

Ice Cream Man 1 - Well that was weird.  I love it!

Odd thing is, in my opinion, that is the worst one. I mean, I liked the dual identity with the Wolfman and Icecream ... dude Cheesy, but I almost dropped it after that issue as it didn't hit me as an "oh yeah" issue or anything. Issue #2 is another one I wasn't sure about while reading it, although I liked it better, but there was something in this book that crept into my head. Then, that same night, I had a dream about the series and so I just had to give issue #3 a shot after that. Anytime a creepy/weird title gets in my brain like that I listen!!!
I was then hooked.
I am still mad about something, but I can't tell you what that is until you get to a certain point as I don't want to say anything about the issues. Let them take you on a personal ride. See where you go with the series. Ha

Went ahead and re-read issue #9 of Justice League Dark, to get myself more familiar with what I just read in issue #10 (and what I read a month ago, man it is getting bad, my memory. Won't be long until I have to go trades 100% ... or at least save up a bunch of issues and read them all at once (come on DC, recap pages  Grin!!). Also tried to look for #8 at the LCS today to no avail, to read issues 7 through 11 to gt a full reread on, but no issue 8 killed that idea. I think I remember it well enough, but I 100% suggest, to any fan of DC Magic stuff, to get Justice League Dark issues 7-12 for this is a cool stoty (? ... or at least up to #11 it is, issue 12 isn't out yet so I cant say if that is good or not, but I sure hope so)
 Smiley

Justice League Dark #9 (reread)
Justice League Dark #10 (reread)
Justice League Dark #11
- Great story featuring the Lords of Order and what their plan is to stop the evil that is spreading into this universe. A quest appearance by Mordru, and I have to say ... a better Mordru I have seldom seen. So vile, so mean, so damn cool!!! Unlike the last arc, the Witching Hour, which I found ... okay look, it wasn't horrible but it was nothing to praise either ... I fully endorse this arc. Read it and enjoy!! You may even want to start at issue #6 as that is where the Blue Devil ... well ... just get it

I'm reading through the Action Comics on my list and I'm on issue #1010.

Still reading it but had to share this "teaser" with Perry.  Even though I'm hiding it, it's not really a spoiler but the tease will likely get Perry excited.

YEAH IT DID

Saw her in the back of a lot of DC comics this week as well. For the in-house ads for ... the Leviathan mini, I think it was. And that makes sense with this being Action.

Now I have to see how far behind on Action I am ...  Cheesy

EDIT Darn it, I am up to date.
And Jeff, if you think THAT got me, wait until you see a panel in 1011

Action Comics 1007-1011 - Oh man!  I am so glad I got caught up on this today!!  Event Leviathan starts Wednesday so I added that to the subscribe list.  This was amazing. There were a couple of Bendis babble's out of Jimmy Olsen that would drive Jimmy nuts but I really hope he reads this.  This is going to be a CLASSIC Superman arc.

And Jeff, if you think THAT got me, wait until you see a panel in 1011

Great book.  Perry you were right about this one.  Sooooo weird and twisted.  Very Twilight Zoney.

Jeff,

Thanks for the heads up on Shatterstar! I had saved it in the queue, thinking 'eh, what the hell!'

Nevermind!!

Just realized I missed this, sorry!

Yeah, you can dodge a bullet on this one.  Glad I could help!

Yes - I know EXACTLY which one you mean!  It did the same for me.

Right? It was awesome  Cheesy

Event Leviathan starts Wednesday so I added that to the subscribe list.

Hey my man, be sure to grab the "Leviathan Rising Special" one-shot that hit this past week. It is an 80plus page monster but it really has a nice set-up to the story. It also has three short stories. All three tie into this one-shot story while also, in the case of Supergirl, ties into recent events in her series Supergirl (I guess ... I finally stop reading that title and we get a tie-in?) but with the other two, it sets up both of the new 12 issue maxi series starring Lois Lane (by Rucka) and Jimmy Olsen (by Fraction).

Again, both of those also tie into this one-shot story, but it gives us a look at what both new series will look like (especially with the absolute hilarious Olsen short story by Fraction ... man that was funny when you find out ... well ... I don't want to spoil it  Grin)

I do want a favor though if I may ... if/when you read that, could you please tell me what you think the ending with ... okay, there is no way to ask this without spoiling something, so just let me know when you read it and I will ask my question.
 Smiley

I understand your hesitancy and reasoning  Grin Like Jeff said, its been proven. We're are hopeful that this turns out differently. It's all we can do  Grin

Superman is a great character!!!

Now I wouldn't go THAT far  Wink Cheesy

Ice Cream Man 2 - Creepy and sad.  Just say no to drugs, kids.

Sad indeed.
"Ole Jim here isn't looking so hot"
Yes, stay away from ... that kind of drug
 Wink

Ice Cream Man 3 - Trippy...and sad.  Loved the trip down rock and roll lane...

Yeah it was cool seeing Ziggy and all the Beatles stuff !!!!

Ice Cream Man 4 - And now it's getting REALLY interesting.

The Man in Black!!

Great book.  Perry you were right about this one.  Sooooo weird and twisted.  Very Twilight Zoney.

Glad to hear you like it. Always scary suggesting a book and with the way this one works, there was no way I could tell you to take a chance on it  Cheesy Cheesy However, I'm glad you dove in on your own and are digging it.
I skimmed back through a couple issues and ... Issue #5 is the one that is most talked about, #6 is the one you saw the preview of and #7 is actually a happy one? Well, except for that one guy  Grin and the last one I will speak of is #8 and I will only say I think that is my favorite. Or at least one of them
