Funny how the week I get a shorter list I manage to read more.

Black Hammer '45: From the World of Black Hammer 2 - Fun book despite the art.  And yet another spin-off series ties into the main saga...at least I think that's what that cliff hanger is all about.

Low 21 - I don't remember how the main characters got to where they are at now.  This whole series may take a re-read once it's done.  That said, the issue was still interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing where this all lands.

X-O Manowar 25 - Ok story.  Great fight scenes.  Great art.

What if? X-Men 1 - This is more of an "Elseworlds" type of story than a "What If" story.  I didn't find interesting.

What if? The Punisher 1 - Peter Parker as the Punisher.  A "B" comic.  Not bad; not great.  There's a lot of potential with this What If but it falls short of reaching it.

What if? Ghost Rider 1 - My expectations were low and it couldn't even meet those.  Don't waste your time here.

What if? Thor 1 - A much better What If tale.  Thor raised by the Frost Giants.  This I enjoyed.

What If? Magik 1 - This is a "What If" comic.  I liked this story.  Magik as Dr Stranges apprentice and what takes her through a soul searching journey.  Thumbs up!

Thanks Perry - I did see that issue 7 was coming out.  I figured it would be soon so I decided to go ahead and read Hotel Oblivion.  Just looked and it releases June 5.  That'll be ok.

========================================
X-Men Black: Magneto 1 - Good solo story.  I'm assuming this will all lead up to something big.  Apocalypse story at the end is going run through all the X-Men Black books.

X-Men Black: Mojo 1 - I enjoyed this more than I should.  Mojo and Glob hanging out is hilarious.

X-Men Black: Mystique - Another good one. Fun watching Mystique hone her craft.

X-Men Black: Juggernaut - They can't all be good, right?  Here's the bad one.  Art is awful; story is meh.  I enjoyed part 4 of the Apocalypse story more than the main story with Juggernaut.

X-Men Black: Emma Frost - Nice one. Despite the yucky arc.  Setting up Emma for what is sure to be epic battles sometime in the future.

Only one bad one of the 5.  That's a win!

=====================================

Sweet Tooth   Vol. 2: In Captivity - Wow - this is really good.  Lemire really knows how to pull the onion apart.  Really good stuff here.  I always thought the kid with the antlers was going to creep me out but I got used to it pretty fast.  I'm really starting to care for these characters which is more evidence of Lemire's talent as a writer.

It looks like they're finally sending the Kid X-Men back where they belong!

The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion 0-6 - Wow - a lot of UA fun.  I really want to read that last issue (#7) now.  I must love torture b/c it's killing me knowing I have to wait until the end of the month.  Good news is these weeks have been flying for me so hopefully it will be here before I know it!

========================================

I finished off this list early (a lot because of my slash of the DC tiltles).  I'm going to get a head start on next weeks backlog.

My new list:

Knocking out a few before the "reading list" hits this Wednesday, even though most of these are on my list
 Grin

Star Wars: Tie Fighter #1 - Reminds me of the old "Empire" series from a few years back ... okay, many years back. Just cool seeing the "other side" once in a while. A decent read, but as I am trying to limit my "current comic" input, I think this will go on the back burner until all five issues are done.

Batman #70 - Mikel Janin is becoming one of my favorite artist. Just love the look. An okay issue  Undecided
Hawkman #12 - So okay, a decent arc and now Hawkman is Hawkman. Lets go !!!
Year of the Villain #1 - Worried about this event
Justice League Dark #10 - A good example of a book I enjoy, but can wait for it to be on DCU
Supergirl #30 - This one as well. Talk about loving the art though ... Maquire is the $#!*
Flash #70 - This title I may not even read when it hits DCU. I tried, again, and got sucked back in for an issue or two, but then it hits me, as it always seems to do; I just don't like this writer. At least not here. I seem to remember his Birthright being okay, but here ... nope

Black Hammer: AoD #10 - Yeah, this series has its mojo back. I was getting worried for awhile.
Five Years #1 - Here we go. All of Moores characters in an epic event! Hope it is a good run!!
Fallen World #1 - Not sure I had this on the list to read or not, but think I will keep going. A good Rai/Eternal Warrior mini it seems. Continuing from what happened at the end of 4001AD

========================================

Sweet Tooth Vol. 3: Animal Armies - I'm totally sucked into this series.  Jeff Lemire can take almost any weird character and make you love them.  Things get a little better for Sweet Tooth but not for the man helping him.

Transmetropolitan #1 - 6 - This is not anything like what I was expecting.  I like it so far.  I'm sure I would have liked it more when I was in my 20's.  I grew out of that "holier than thou" angst decades ago.  But I certainly can appreciate it for what it is.
