Loved it.

Told a great story, a great Hercules of myth story, a great hero story.

Unfortunately, this will be a story that won't stand the test of time, or as canon, because it simply won't, once the next writer decides he wants the high drinking, high lifestyle full of zesty life Herc instead.

I remember being so pissed when Waid's Johnny Storm was essentially undone by JMS (taking him back to his idiotic, foolish teen/20 something roots). That's what will eventually happen here as well.

But for now, Hercules has been made amazing again.

Anytime I can get a good Herc story, I'm happy. Just sucked that his series was canceled before they could tell this story in his own book where it belonged. Instead of it continuing in a title that really had nothing to do with the event it was labeled. Which I know is the norm anyway
But they should have gave him the extra few issues, damn it.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley
