What if the newest STD made you Beautiful? As far as STDs go, that doesn't sound too bad, right? But just wait for the other side effect.
A fantastic story with a mix of detective drama and viral sci-fi that you must try.
Okay, look, I know I am the kind of person that gets a little too excited, overly drawn into a series after only reading one issue, speak highly of it, promote it, tell people they should buy it

and then get a little less enamored when I read issue number two. However, this is not one of those times. While yes, I was absolutely blown away by the idea of this story, the pacing, the timing, the art, the dialog and the ending, I waited to speak on it until I read issue number two. Hoping to learn from my past mistakes.
And even though when I finished reading issue number one I went right out and bought issue two

and thus there is no time between issues ... to let me "cool" on the series, I still fell totally confident in recommending this title to anyone that enjoys books by BKV or Rucka. I know, I know, that is a huge leap to compare this to two of my favorite writers, but I enjoyed these two issues so much, I can only do just that.
I will let some comic-writers tell you what they thought of of this book (and this is not one of those "yeah, I will comment on your book I never read" situations

) -
"The Beauty is one of those perfect high-concept ideas that you not only immediately love, but kind of hate because you weren't the one to think of it. My highest recommendation!" - Jonathan Hickman
"Imaginative, creepy and coincidentally beautiful" - Rick Remender
"The Beauty gives us a gorgeously conceived concept with a near-endless story possibilities. I can't wait to see where it goes" - Charles Soule
And there is more praise by the likes of Alex Grecian, Justin Jordan and Cullen Bunn but I just don't feel like typing it all out.

Go try this book if you like cop drama with a hint of engorgement conspiracy and outbreak danger. And if you don't like those things ... go try this book and you will.
