An updated version of the first issue of 'Avengers' told in a 5 parter by Joe Casey and Phil Noto.

I recommend.  Grin

It's fun to see heroes who didn't know each other, watching them be suprised by each others' powers and abilities and such. A decent level of fear, too, for not knowing what may happen in a fight. A very refreshing look back at an updated version of the gathering. Fun to see the costumes as they originally appeared, and to fall back into the beginnings of these characters together.

Read this one a long time ago and I also enjoyed it. I didn't know what it was about prior to reading, so part of me felt a little "taken" by an "origin" story, but it was done so well that by the end of the first issue, I was on board.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley
