Will You Be Reading Spider-Verse?

I mean, holy sh!t!! I mean, right? This thing is huge! Look at all the tie-ins!

Yes, yes, you never have to buy more than you want to. But the pure unfiltered proliferation of it; that is a lot of money for the consumer. Honestly, I am stepping away from it all.

However, will it be a big seller? More than likely, yes. Couple this with the Death of Wolverine (4 issues), Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy (7 issues), and DoW: The Weapon X (5 issues) project-all of these which run bi-weekly, one after another (with some overlap), for 3 months!!!!

Now, I can see Perry (rightly so) telling me "This is a business. They are doing this for money. Speak with your own money." Nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't even say there is anything morally wrong (of course not), ethically wrong (eh, ...I could make a tiny argument about ripping people off), but I find something...poor about it. Like, this isn't how you should do such a thing.

I don't know. But it does make me speak with my money and time. Meaning, I won't spend either of them on this! While Superior Spider-man was a great venture for 32 issues, 'Amazing' relaunch has seemed...poor. Now, just make this a huge, time traveling/world crossing/variants/clones crossover (which, I don't feel really fits Spidey's universe; I don't!), I just feel it is kinda flat.

I just wanted to rant, as well. Haven't had as much comic talk since I got the house. Cheesy

Feel free to fire away at me.

Good rant, but yes, you are correct ... it is a business and they sell. They only made one title just for the tie-ins, that Team-Up book and they usually do that.

It is not really that huge when you see it is only 6 titles. It is just that bi-monthly shipping that really make it seem like more. I was gonna stay for it, but as I decided I wasn't happy with PAD's 2099, not happy about Land being on Spider-Woman I decided to drop out.

It is no different than DC's Forever Evil but I guess I should go look and see your rant about that DC one  Tongue  Grin  Cheesy

But, yeah .. as you know DC does the same.  Smiley Peeking in at that Forever Evil "event" -

Yeah, all in all it is not THAT huge an event and I would've gotten it had I not dropped the books prior. From what I hear it is a pretty damn fun read as well

But I didn't see the Scarlet Spiders mini. Damn these eyes!!!

I think I just made money by subscribing to Marvel Unlimited!

if I can find it, you'll eat crow. :p

But yeah, I didn't care for that either. At least, since I like to quibble into minutae as well, Forever Evil was a line wide event; Spider-verse is only about one character. That's a lot of publishing. :p

It means nothing in the end. I didn't buy that, I won't buy this, and I'll check out some of it on Unlimited.

Scarlet Spiders gets me super nostalgic, but then again, any mention of MORLUN CROSSING REALITIES makes me spit nails. So, NO ! is what I'll still say.

I do talk about F Evil's impact throughout various titles, and yes, do complain (although, I will admit a bit more diplomatically than here, but that's just....cuz'

Well I had this all ready to go once I saw you posted a link ...

 Cheesy

But you really didn't complain about anything other than Finch's art. Which you were right in doing so, but I think my crow diner will go in the freezer for now.

Clearly some DC bias still exists under that newly wed skin of yours.  Grin Wink  I mean there are many a Batman event that spans many titles as well and that is only one character. Or that Superman event Hel somthing?

It's all good though, my man.   Grin I get what you're saying. Bottom line though I think we both would have liked to at least read this event, but as we both don't get enough of the main titles anyway, we are not gonna spend the money doing so.   Smiley

Apparently reviewers are starting to get really "fatigued" or tired of this. Main story flounders as lead protagonist acts foolish or without thought; events from outside minis mean alot more and have info that is pertinent to the main SV storyline.

Not a full whine; just commenting on what I see around the net.
