So my old computer decided to take a crap, forcing me to scramble and get a new one.  Normally, I like to thoroughly research a major purchase such as this but... well, let's just say I thought I could trick my old computer into lasting a little bit longer than it did.  No such luck.

Anyway, long story short, I decided I would just get a gaming rig and be done with it.  I figure, if I get a gaming rig, I'll be good for whatever I decide to throw at it.  Hell, all I'll probably end up doing on it is using Photoshop anyway.

So, who here uses their PC for something other than porn?  Steam?  Origin?  Other?

Not sure that is a possibility. Isn't that the computers main goal?  Grin

I use mine for everything BUT gaming actually. Photoshop, Word, Rosetta Stone (Japanese currently ... Man I've been slacking on that damn thing ... I can only remember about 4 words now  Embarrassed) Streaming (CNN New Day in the morning is essential, switching over to Keith Olbermann tape after and of course Netflix and the like), Comics, Browsing porn and all non-porn internet related vices  Cheesy

Ever since the fall of the great text based game ZORK ("It is pitch black, you are likely to be eaten by a Grue"), I just always concentrated on the game consoles.

The only games I can remember ever almost pulling me into the world of CPU gaming were the Ultima series, Diablo and the recent Marvel MMO.

And for those not familiar with ZORK, MC Frontalot (from Nerdcore ... something else you may not be familiar with  Cheesy) wrote a pretty cool/stupid "rap" about it ...

Or of course, after hearing that again ... his great ...

I play DCUO ..again...for now.

But that's all I do.

Unless you count all the 'reading' I do on the interwebs these days. My latest fun thing is to go back through all of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's 'Star Talk" radio shows.

You're lucky. My DVR only goes 6 days out, so I had to stay on top of it or I would have forgot about it. In fact, had I not seen you post about him, I may have missed the damn thing, as that is when I set it. Grin
