Oh I love the people involved in this. I am just refusing to buy another event story until they start making "events" again.
Like Sin brought up, SECRET WARS (original and part 2 I suppose) was a great example of how you CAN do it, but looking back, and to me (your mileage may very) the last good "event" book was ... okay, I guess I have to put WORLD WAR HULK as that was pretty good in execution and idea, and I don't like Hulk, but the last one that had any lasting meaning was House of M or AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED When Scarlet wiped away all mutants except for almost 200 of them. And that was 2004.
Prior to that we have AGE of APOCALYPSE or HEROES REBORN?
I mean Even the small events, the titles or character centric events have sucked over the past 10 years. SPIDER ISLAND? SHADOWLAND? CURSE of the MUTANTS (So I heard).
Take a look
HERE and let me know what really sticks out to you as being good? Or at least important?
After this event are the X-Men and Avengers going to be on opposite sides? No.
Is someone going to die, and effect anything? No.
Would I read this if it wasn't for the past, over-hyped, utter failures Marvel has put before me? Yes. But I am tired. So tired.
But hey, at least they canceled MOON KNIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!
