Issue #1

It is official. The only things I really enjoy reading from Matt Fraction are Casanova and Iron Man. That is it. Neither of those two characters are in this book, however.

He does not know the characters that ARE in this book, that is for sure. At all.
Dr. Strange a play-boy? Hulk speaking as smart as Banner ... without being merged with Banner? This is Surfer now?

Bah ... no problem dropping this. Easy.

I haven't read my copy yet but I can say the split Hulk & Banner w/ smart Hulk is the current incarnation in the Incredible Hulk.  We don't know why yet but should find out in the first arc.

Oh I know, and that is the problem. Hulk no longer has Banner "in" him, yet Hulk is talking like he is. He used the word prudent.

PRUDENT !!!!!!

No "Hulk Smash"? Okay fine. You want to make 'Banner'less' Hulk a little more intelligent? okay, but Hulk should never ... NEVER, EVER, EVER use the word 'Prudent'

PRUDENT !!!!!

Epitomizes what is wrong with most of the storytelling at Marvel right now.

Replacing proper character and passion for the project with "cool" and "what if" thinking.

Totally sucks ass.  Angry

Very glad I left #2 on the shelf...I like Faction and the Dodsons but the book just rang false.  I have no interest in Dr Strange and Iron Fist as man-hoars.  no need for that at all.

As for the Hulk verbiage...i have no problem with his increased intelligence as this is a brand new hulk.  in the past when they have separated, banner was the reason, it was something he wanted and in separation he kept all the brain power and left the hulk as a giant green ball of rage and anger.  This time Hulk drove the separation and if your reading his book it seems to me that he took some of the intelligence/brain pwer and now Banner has been left as a skinny white ball of rage and anger, granted he has scientific knowledge but not the humanity to use it properly.  personally I think it's a nice flip on the past stories.

I miss the trippy Defenders stories Jm Demattis wrote in the 80's.Marvel should reprint those stories.
