No need to be ashamed.  Proud to see that you're giving so many new DC books a go!

Action Comics wasn't too bad, just read that one yesterday.....I just have to get used to these young and impetuous versions of the once tried and true DC staples....

How is the new Daredevil with Waid?  Been wondering about picking that up again.

Haven't got to read issue #2 yet, but issue 1 was pretty good. Good action sequence with him and the Spot and this is basically setting a more jovial tone for the series. Kinda bringing Matt back to pre-Miller joy.

The art by Rivera is ... kinda muted and plain looking. Not bad, just kinda like Archie'ish in the style of little shading, but he really does fantastic work with the "radar" effects.

Hard to suggest it yet as a "buy", but it certainly is not bad.

I picked up JLI last week. Great read, but what happened to the dark-haired female? She was replaced by Godiva on the cover. Grrrrrrr.

How is Alpha Flight?

First issue was a good start (except for the Fear Itself tie-in). I will read the others and let you know Wink

I thought it was just "okay."

The start is action packed, but the rest isn't that memorable.

The origin story is pretty basic.  Wish there were more to it, but they kept it to one page.

Overall I hope there will be more character moments to make me attached to Holt and his supporting cast.

And he kept calling himself "the third smartest man in the world" not just in the comic, but also the solicits.  Why does DC do that?  The writer made a nice joke about it, yet it's still weird.  He couldn't be "one of" or "the" smartest guy?  Who's ahead of him?  Batman and Luther probably.  I can understand Luther being smarter, to make him more of a threat in case they face off.  But Batman?  Would his books REALLY go down in popularity if he was behind Mr. Terrific in smarts?
