I saw the report on-line (you can google it)

Is this a good idea?  If done right, it can be.  If its a copy of Family Guy (something kind of ironic) set in Bedrock - it will be horrible

Agreed.  Family Guy is the absolute worst.  Everything MacFarlane makes is complete sewage.
