If you aren't reading this book, and dig good corruption/crime/drama books, you really need to pick it up. I've recently gotten the two trades that are out and, wowza,----good stuff. Great writing, appropriate artwork--it's a winner.

I have heard a lot of good buzz on this series. Over at iFanboy they pick it quite often as their pick of the week.
Gotta say the more I hear about it the more my interest is peaked.

If I could go back in time and like tell 11 year old me that like not only do you get to go to Comic Con but you go every year. So much so that you get greeted by Stan Lee when you show up. And 11 year old me would be like - How did we get so fat?- Kevin Smith

I think I got the first couple of issues if you're interested Jeff....If I come across them, they're yours.....I hear good things about the series, but it didn't really stick with me.

I picked up the first trade and was instantly hooked on the series.
I've since started picking it up on a monthly basis.

cuaght up on the back issues and have started getting it monthly, Aaron is one of my new favorite writers, but the art of RM. Guera is really good. reminds me of old spanish edition comics i used to have, the reprints were half the size of a normal comcs so the artwork looked more detailed. really, a very interesting series.

Finished reading the latest trade not too long ago--this continues to be a great series, though I prefer reading the trades to individual issues. Anybody here who digs crime books should be reading this!

I read volume's 2, 3, and 4 over the weekend. In fact, I read 3 & 4 in one sitting this morning. I can't imagine reading this monthly. Aaron is definately taking is time telling this story. In 4 trades we aren't a whole lot closer to solving this murder than we were in the begining. Of course, if your reading this your probably saying "Who cares?!" because Aaron is really developing these characters. Even the minor ones get a lot of attention. Yeah, I really like Aaron's writing. This takes time and patience to read but the payoff is there. Can't wait for the next trade.

Man, just read "High Lonesome" Vol. 5. That Aaron...geesh, he is such a tease with his writing. He totally leaves the reader hanging so well. Wow. Another great volume. Anybody else read this? That last chapter with the casino robbery was amazing. Not many comics that make me want to take a shower once I"m done reading, but this book does. whew.

Great analogy with wanting to take a shower! That is exactly how I feel after reading each volume! It is a really good book. I enjoyed High Lonsome as well and the bank robbery chapter is one of my favorites. I'm already wanting the next volume to come out - I hear there are some good reveals coming but I've managed to avoid spoilers so far.

I was given the first trade, and I really enjoyed it. Haven't tracked down the rest yet, but I do plan on doing so. Not sure about the dirty feel after reading it though.
