MARVEL UNLIMITED Timeless : I can recall a scant 2 years ago when it was known that Donny Cates was the new man at Marvel with all he was writing and delivering on. Now? I believe Jed McKay has stepped up into that role now. Loved his work here. Had a blast reading this issue, and man, Kang just sings for me now. Fascinating character! And that ending!!! And speaking of McKay - - Death of Dr. Strange 4: I've been really digging this mini, thinking I really wouldn't. But no lying, this has been a great mini series, I loved the thinking of Strange here, the sleuthing, the planning of him (even if I felt underwhelmed by the result of this issues conclusion, tbh), I'm still soundly onboard for this! Amazing Spider-man 83: This issue delivered. YOu know why? Patrick Gleason wrote and drew it. Great mindscapes, great pursuit of finding who Peter is, and just enough spookiness to make you maybe fear or question what Peter is doing, Very cool issue Devil's Reign 2: DC UNLIMITED Detective Comics 1043 Action Comics 1035 Batman/Superman 22 Robin 6 Deathstroke, Inc 1 Superman Son of Kal-El 1 Probably some more New Teen Titans and Justice League Internation/of America when I get around to it! DC Universe Infinite Justice League 68 Deathstroke Inc. 1 ComiXology Unlimited Radio Spaceman #1 Star Trek: The Mirror War - Captain LaForge #1 Nocterra #8 Crossover #12 ------------------------------------------------------ Devil’s Reign #2 - Good issue. I’m enjoying this event and the way Zdarsky writes some of my favorite characters. Especially Electra and Doctor Octopus. Lots of fun this is. Clearly Jimmy and I disagree on this one. Death of Doctor Strange #4 - The murderer revealed! In the classic whodunnit style. Very fun issue. Plus some good Bats time which is always fun. Timeless #1 - Like Jimmy said, great issue. Everything Kang seems to be hitting this year. Too bad this was a one shot as I’d love to see more Kang! Well this has been fun but not really happy they are bringing back this villain yet again. I thought we had moved on from this. I guess we’ll see how this all wraps up next issue. Deathstroke Inc. #1 - I wasn’t expecting much since I knew Rodney wasn’t a fan of this title. But I have to say I kind of enjoyed this issue. It was very creepy and very strange but for a first issue intro, I liked it. We’ll see how it goes in the future. Still seems odd seeing that some of the "future" events Kang sees has already happened, I guess this title ran late or something? Regardless it was still a good read. I look forward to the Doom vs Kang mini that SHOULD be coming soon ;) :D :D Flash - This issue from Johns was better than what I had read before of his Flash, so I am on for a few. I will say that this issue does have pronounced panels where the writer and the artist are not quite in sync, still learning each other's craft and how they will work together. That's fine, it is a great thing to see actually because I know this team does work well together in the not too distant future, so yeah, that was cool. A good read. Never gonna happen if I don't get my reading (lack of) under control :-\ I don't know, maybe it is just my mood, but I did mention a little bit ago about how I am spending a lot of money on comics again, compared to the "free" stuff I get from MU and DCI I mean, and with the way I read... do I need to buy more comics right now?. Hell I just spent about 25 bucks on more digital stuff about two weeks ago and it will probably take me months to F'n read those!!! Sure I want to read them, but couldn't I wait until I was up to date a little? NOOOO... I had to get it now?!?!?! So yeah, maybe I slow down so I can, like I mentioned above, "bet back" to some of the older stuff I want to read or reread. Heck, if for nothing else, finish reading the damn issues I have already bought!!!! I have tons of Image books to read. Tons. >:( It's getting as bad as it used to be for me with comics. Buying (or downloading) just to possess. I need to get to the reading side of things, not just that "having" side. :-\ And hell, I probably could have read an issue of something instead of typing all of this! See? Takes forever to read those damn thing :D :D :D Just think, we used to get almost 20-30 minutes of read time with those damn things and had to pay $1.50 for the good paper.
