Crime Syndicate #5 & 6 - The end of this mini series. I liked it! Works well as a mini series and enjoyed the wrap up. Future stories have promise.

Suicide Squad #5 & 6 - Wow, what perfect timing. In these two issues the Suicide Squad go up against the Crime Syndicate on Earth-3. And it turns out to be a pretty good two parter!  For a book I was thinking of dropping I’m now back on board. Loved the cliffhanger and looking forward to the up coming Annual!

Suicide Squad: Get Joker #1 - Whoa! Not what I was expecting. This is bloody even for a Suicide Squad! And led by Red Hood on a mission to get Joker.  But a nice twist changes everything and this good book just got great.

Are you looking forward to the Flash/Titans/Squad crossover?

Oooooo!  I am NOW!   :D

I didn't know it was coming  -  I'll have to go look that up!

Oh - it's the Crime Syndicate War on Earth-3.  Yes, I did see that yesterday and I am excited for it!!

That's right; the 3 part War crossover! I'm looking forward to that!

I ALREADY READ

MARVEL UNLIMITED
The Thing #1; nope, pedestrian in all aspects. No need to see if it gets 'better' in the second issue.
Miles Morales Spider-man 32; I read it because it's a fast read, and Miles himself I like, but the book is pretty weak, and really tropey.
Amazing Spider-man 78; an okay issue, but nothing to really write home about!
Venom 1; I've never been a fan of god symbiote Knull KIng in Black alien nonsense. But tis Al Ewing, so I will try....
Eternals 1-7 (Neil Gaiman and JRJr); with knowing the movie, it helps to keep the characters a bit more real to me. A min series to reintroduce the characters back to the then 'current' Marvel universe...in 2007...

TO READ

DC INFINITE
Batman Urban Legends 6
Justice League Last Ride 4
INFINITE FRONTIER 4 !!!!
Wonder Woman 777
The Joker 6
Detective Comics 1041

Suicide Squad: Get Joker #1

Peacemaker: Disturbing the Peace #1
Justice League: Last Ride #3
Justice League: Last Ride #4

The Joker #6
Infinite Frontier #4

Marvel Unlimited
The Thing #1
Eternals #7
Strange Academy #13

------------------------------------------------------

Peacemaker: Disturbing the Peace #1 - Excellent comic! Garth Ennis really nails Peacemakers origin.  I’d love to see him write more of this.  Too bad it’s just a one shot.

Green Arrow 80th Anniversary 100 Page Super #1 - like Jimmy said, some good stories and some OK stories. Overall I enjoyed this. And the last story tribute was really nice.

I flipped through the new Iron Fist mini. Looks interesting and will probably read it on MU.

Peacemaker: Disturbing the Peace #1 - Excellent comic!

We disagree on this one, but that's okay, it happens  ;D You gonna check out the show? I forgot to look at your Binge list before coming here to post my list
 :D
I liked the first episode, but not at first, but it grew on me. Not sure if that increases or decreases the odds you will enjoy it or not
 :D

MARVEL UNLIMITED
Dark Ages #1
Dark Ages #2 - may wait to start this next week when the third issue drops
Strange Academy #13
Eternals #7

DC INFINITE
Infinite Frontier #4
Joker #6
Batman Reptilian #7

OTHER PUBLISHERS
Primordial #4
Primordial #5
Basilisk #6
Once and Future #7
Once and Future #8
Someone is Killing the Children #1
Someone is Killing the Children #2
Someone is Killing the Children #3 - Starting my re-read of the first ten issues that I have already read so I can continue with this series as it is set to return next month and I need to get caught up with it AND the sister series House of Slaughter hopefully before that happens.

*******************************************

Primordial - Okay, yes, this is good, but is it worth the price? Bottom line I think the answer can only be "no". Lots of pretty pictures, lots of cool animal talk, very little story. All that said, I am going to finish reading it when the next issue, the last issue, goes on sale.

Eternals - Yeah, ya know what I'm gonna say... great art, great story, greatly looking forward to the next issue  :D

Strange Academy - Hmmm, a "sweet" moment for the series for one character, and a huge question about how one of the kids should even be there now. I just don't get how they (the teachers) have not talked to him yet. It should have happened this issue. I consider this a bad choice for writer Skottie Young. I know he is setting something up, but after what happened to one of the kids in the last arc and the result of that... item in question, he should've at least been talked to about the future or... something!!!! Not just returned to class like he still has... well ... yeah

Marvel Unlimited
The Thing #1
Eternals #7
Strange Academy #13

------------------------------------------------------

Justice League: Last Ride #3 & 4 - We get the story of how one Leguer died and it’s ramifications on the team.  Followed up by the build up of a lot of action!  Good story so far and nice cliffhanger in issue 4.

The Joker #6 - Whoa!  And I thought the Joker could be sick and twisted.  Apparently he’s not the worst after all!  This series following Jim Gordon kicks off the next arc with a bang.

Infinite Frontier #4 - Getting a little confusing. Are there things happening in other books connected to this story?  I’m still enjoying it but hoping for some clarity soon.

The Thing #1 - I have to agree with my compatriots, this was not good. I’m moving it off of the list.

Eternals #7 - wow. What a great start to a new arc. This book is really good. All hail Thanos!

Strange Academy #13 - Another good Academy book in the records.  And the start of more trouble coming down the road.  These kids just can’t stay out of it.

Might as well see if I can catch up on my ComiXology books as well.  Plus I want to try out the new app and see how I like it.

ComiXology Unlimited
The Department of Truth #15
King of Spies #2 of 4
Mazebook #4
Mazebook #5
Stillwater #12
Primordial #5
The Silver Coin #8
Time Before Time #9

Stillwater #12
Primordial #5

------------------------------------------------------

The Department of Truth #15 - And I’m done with this “comic”.  It’s taken too long to tell us what is really going on and feels like it’s not going anywhere.  Plus this issue wasn’t really a comic book so much as a magazine.  Bored me right out of the series.

King of Spies #2 of 4 - Holy cow!  This is some sick twisted stuff even for Millar!  Idris and Izzy might be going down as the craziest characters ever created.

Mazebook #4 & 5 - Man that was one of the saddest things I’ve ever read. I guess happy sad at the end but nevertheless one of the very few books that truly ripped into my emotions. Jeff Lemire is really an amazing writer. I need to go hug my daughter….and my dog.

Joker - Ha, loved the way this comic started. Creepy as hell and then suddenly, without warning, this song hits my head -
"Come and listen to my story about a man named Jed, poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed, and then one day he was shootin at..."
 ;D

Basilisk - Yeah, I like this book. It's not a complicated one, but one with art and a story I enjoy. So much so that I think I will give Bunn's Manor Black mini (ongoing?) a try. One that he does with his old artistic partner from Harrow County; Tyler Crook
 :)

Stillwater #12 - Wow things came close to a close pretty fast.  The one shot in March should wrap this up.  Things are coming to a quick close!

Primordial #5 - Definitely one of Lemire’s stranger books. Looking forward to the wrap up but can’t say this made much sense.

The Silver Coin #8 - Another creepy one!  But good nonetheless.  Not a lucky day at all!

Time Before Time #9 - Another good issue from a story stand point.  Still not a fan of the art but pulled into the story anyway.

Heroes Reborn/Return - Man, this was/is tough reading here. The art of the nineties are still influential here as Slavador Larocca'a art looks nothing like it comes to be later, and the writing by PAD is kind of cringeworthy, but for some reason I decided I wanted to pick up on the Marvel comics that came after this, back when Marvel did their own reset with some of their titles. Hope to get through this and into the '98 relaunches of FF, Cap, Iron Man, Thor and eventually Hulk but by the time I am done with this I may have soured on that idea.  :D

Infinite Frontier - Like Jeff I am enjoying this, a good bit even, and Also like Jeff I get what is happening here, but I (for one) struggle to know how this fits into DC currently. I know it was set to be a thing earlier on, but is this now just happening in the back ground, is it going to affect DC proper at some point, is it a prelude to Williamson's Dark Crisis? I guess I will find out soon enough.

Batman: Reptilian - Enjoying this (darkly) painted Liam Sharp book but damn my boy Ennis' take on THIS particular Batman is baaaad. The dialog THIS Bat conveys is not Batman. That said I still think this is a good read, it is an Elseworlds after all so I can let the Bat'speak slide, and look forward for more. Not for everyone though. For sure

Nightwing - Best part of this issue is the conversations between Dick and Supes, and Dick and Barbara. The other stuff, the main gist of this issue, I will let slide away. Moving on!!!

Supergirl - A decent issue that makes me wonder how many issues this mini should've/could've been if we just stuck to the main story. Not a big deal, it was done well, but more of a sidestep off the trail on our way to getting further along our path

Mazebook - Man, not sure how I thought I had (and read) issue #4 of Mazebook, but I hadn't. I started issue #5 (not noticing in my list) and realized I missed something  ;D One of Jeff's favorite writers brings us a heartfelt story that can only work, I feel, in this medium. In other words, I don't think this would work as anything but a comic. The art and the way it is used is so important.

Once and Future - HA, we made it to the point in the book where the Siege Perilous comes into play and boy I bet this "Galahad" wished we didn't  :D And Merlin looks awesome. Love the design

Someone is Killing the Children - So I am busy trying to convince Jeff and Jimmy to watch the show "Haunting of Hill House" on Netflix as I think it is not only one of the best "haunted house" stories (one that makes the idea of family so important) but also because I hear that this comic is getting its own show and the production company that will run said show is headed by the writer/director of Hill House. I think watching that series has made me trust that how good Flanigan can be and I feel great about this comic being a very good adaption. One of Tynion's best I think

Heroes Reborn/Return - Well I got through it, I finished this. Left a sour taste in my mouth (not a fan of the human shaped Celestial) but hoping the main titles will hit as good as I seem to remember some of them, when I jumped back into them later down the line.
 :-\

Something is Killing the Children - Okay, I think I came across why I stopped reading this back when I did, a couple years ago. As you know, I don't like it when stories show cops doing things they would never, ever do (and I am not talking about cops being bad cops, I know that is something that happens  ;)), and when
the Sheriff of this town goes into the woods, comes across what he believes is a murder scene, complete with who he perceives to be the killer (Tommy), and he not only does not handcuff said "killer", but he also leaves the "killer" with a stranger to this town, a person he only met one time, so that he, the sheriff, can go back out of the woods to check on others...?? WHA THE FUCK??
I think that is when I got disheartened with this book, finished what I had already bought and then walked away. It is just stupid ass crap that makes no F'n sense.

I am sticking around this time, but damn I gotta say, that really bugged me a lot. Even more so this time around as I know for sure that it wasn't just something I missed or got wrong the first time.
 >:(

Wow, look at me go. Almost 30 books in one week? That's like Jeff on comics or Jimmy on novels level of reading.
 :D :D

That bugged me too.  Fortunately I don’t remember that kind of stupidity continuing.  Your getting close to my favorite arc where we go back and get Erica’s origin story.  Keeping my fingers crossed that you enjoy it.

Oh yeah, I am on for the long haul this time (want to know how it compares to the show).
I did go back and look and I am mistaken, again, on one part.
The Sheriff does put Tommy in zip ties, it appears. Tynion doesn't show us the Sheriff doing so and I understand, now, that the reason for that is the break from the end of issue #9 to the beginning of issue #10 where this happens off screen. I totally missed the little dark line across Tommy's wrists the first time through, reading at night with my tablet on low light (as the wife is sleeping).
I noticed it this morning when I went back to get a better reason for the Sheriff leaving Tommy with the new guy (and there isn't, at all), but I did notice that zip tie.
I guess my brain didn't separate the issues when I read them last night and I just assumed the two points in time of the sheriff pulling the gun and then him walking away with the deputies happened at the same time. But no, issue break totally excuses the not showing us the cuffing/zip tie of the suspect.
Still no idea why he walked away though
;D
