Ah fantasy football.... Where I have the second most scored points in the league (behind Jeff only) and he's 3-1 and I'm 1-3. Sigh. It's my life every year!!

Now, I'm not a fan of them. I think it's because every year fandom is told how great they are and what we should expect from them-and then they don't do anything. But THAT personal POV aside, why did they lose to the JETS?

I LOST MY FANTASY GAME WITH CROSBY LAST KICK!

I BEAT EVERYONE ELSE except the guy I'm playing! I'm only 5 points behind Jeff for total points scored in the league; 3rd most is over 80 points behind me (if I scanned that right)

And I'm 2-4 and in 6th or 8th place?! Dammit fantasy!!

Oh yeah - Captain Hindsight can screw you at the most inopportune times!!  He's that good!   :D

9th to 5th with me win. Another win, and with my points, takes me 3rd (maybe!) after this weekend! Lots of conjecture here. There's assuming the guy I'm playing doesn't have that stupid 'best game of the weekend'against me again.

Hey Jeff, how is that pick up of my Matt Ryan cast off? I know you never started him. Now you won't have to!

I know right!  I have him as my starter in another league but at least in that one I have Tom Brady as my backup.


What a difference one week can make.  I went from 1st place to third based off of the loss!!

I went back and checked every one of his losses; he has never passed 100 points!! But THIS weekend, he sets the highest score of the entire league-AGAINST ME!!! You sumnabitch!!!! DAMMIT DAMN YOU FANTASY FOOTBALL!!!!

Jeff, each week I keep crunching the numbers of what its taking to win this league! You’ve got the most points in the league, I’m something like 47 points behind you, and we’re both 5-5!!! Next highest score is 103 points behind me, and he’s in first! ARGH!!

I know there’s still about 4 weeks left, I think, in the regular season. But it’s going to be hard to push that gridlock above us. If I can drop Ryderz this weekend, we flip flop positions in standings, but that’s dependent on what you do as well. So, you do play the Earth-99 Rams, and you should win, so that would mean we would leapfrog to to minimum 5 and 6 in standings.

Hindsight and Wannabes play each other, so the loser of that will have the same record as us if we both win-and with points scored, that loser would drop below us again, moving us to 4 and 5 in standings.

Toxins and Scoobs should both probably win, which takes them both to 8-3, and 1 and 2 in the  standings. Winner of Hindsight and Wannabes moves to 7-4, and 3rd, and then (hopefully, because I’m pulling for you too), we both would be 6-5, and our points total is what keeps us above Hindsight/Wannebe loser with their 6-5 record. But I’m still on the outside looking in at position 5!! Damn you Pantheon Hulks for your super week against me!!! ;)

(and in 2 weeks, I play the Scoobies. Of course I want my win, so that would drop him to a proposed 8-4, and me right behind at 7-5!!! Week 12 is interesting for the Ryderz and Wannabes match up too!)

So much Fantasy football on my mind! ARGH

I did the thing this week where I overthought things, and didn’t consider things that had looked at.
I bought into the Jets rise, and with them playing the Bungles, I said ‘Yes, Jets defense!’  TOTALLY  overlooking the return of Andy Dalton, who would give that veteran spark to those that want to win.

I thought the RB Williams on the Colts would continue to give that team a rise, TOTALLY overlooking how good the Titans are playing, especially on defense too, and how not ready the Colts are to rise to the occasion.

I still thought that Trubisky would suck against any team, even the Lions, so I sat Robinson.

I also didn’t believe Miami would create any magic through the air, and left Devontae Parker on the bench. Since I had picked him up, his double digits looks and 7 avg receptions during games dried up, and I was sick of getting burned (in small ways) to him on starting.

So, J Williams for Indy Started.
I had Allen Robinson, Devontae Parker, and even kareem Hunt on the Bench (who knew when Cleveland would use him more?). I burned myself. Any one of those 3 should have started over Williams!

So! Between me and Toxins, I need Seattle to burn his Minnesota Defense, and I need Dalvin cook to roll off like 125 yards and a touchdown or two. Or three.

BECAUSE

If I win, I move to 8-5, and Toxins(5) move to 7-6.

Presuming some things:
Scoobies (1) may really lose! 8-4 drops to 8-5.
Hindsight(4) will win. 7-5 to 8-5.
Wannabes(2) may actually lose too. 8-4 to 8-5.
-and Jeff (6) wins and moves back to 7-6. If I lose, I’m back at 7-6, possibly drop below Jeff due to points scored.

There’s the top 4 teams!!! ALL 8-5. I move from (3) to (1) due to points scored.

If I win tonight. Ugh.

There are 2 more regular season weeks after tonight. Top 4 make the championship round. I’m real excited to try and repeat!!!

I missed the playoffs in my money league for the first time in 5 years. Can't even blame it on Luck's sudden retirement either. I scored decent, but owners that would normally score 50 or 60 points in a week would play me and suddenly go off for 140!!!
I scored the third most points in the league but had the second highest points scored against me. And not only did I miss the playoffs, I missed badly.

I have the 4th overall pick in next years rookie draft.
That's good, but I'm not happy about it.

Yeah - I forgot to change our playoff schedule.  We don't start until Week 16 with the Championship in Week 17.  I meant to move that back a week since so many NFL teams sit their good players in Week 17.

I'll try to remember to do that next year but I guess that will make our Championship crazy!

I thought we were going later! Oh well got Sam Darnold for when Lamar Jackson gets benched week 17 then. 😉

EDI I'd hate to run over you Jeff, but I'm gonna try. With 2 teams in the top 4 playing each other, then us, the winner of us gets catapulted to 4th place at minimum. ;D

in my other league I am the highest scorer. I am the first place team as well and due to the playoff seeding and the guy I played, who happen to have Drew Brees and set a record in our league for 57 points in a game I lost. I won't be going to the Superbowl in that league.

 In this league Jeff beat me this week and because of that I sit on the outside of playoffs for the top 4 seeds. I am second in points in this league as well, only two behind Jeff. But I need to win this week and I need toxins to win this week to become one of the top four to move on. I don't know why this bothers me this much this year. I guess cuz it was something kind of fun that I was doing well at that I had a hand in.....

even saying that.. that just sounds so stupi. These are real men playing an actual physical game and all I'm doing is just putting them in for a pretend  position to get pretend -obviously -fantasy points for me. I guess it was just fun and I felt like I was doing something well , as well as a good distraction. But in the end it doesn't even matter at all.

At least your not me in my survivor pool.  I got knocked out right towards the end on a fluke loss.  The winner of that pool gets $5,000.  I was really bummed about losing that after being so close.
