X-Force 4

========================================

Event Leviathan 4 - still no reveal of who Leviathan is but I think we are getting close!

House Of X 5 - Okaaaaaaay.  Now that certainly throws a bunch of weird in the mix.  As well as explaining that preview we saw way back when with the "pod" people.

Age of X-Man: Prisoner X 1 - Liked it.  This will be a fun Bishop centric story.

Age of X-Man: The Marvelous X-Men 2 - Also liked it.  Good drama in this one.

Age of X-Man: Apocalypse & the X-Tracts 1 - hot of the heels of Marvelous X-Men 2, this reads like a continuation of that other series.  Liked it too!  Three for three this week.

Uncanny X-Men 13 - Man, this almost makes me wish they had held off on the Hickman X-Men..almost.  This feels like some old time X-Men story.  Love the membership of the team too.  Wolverine, Cyclops, Havok, Madrox..X-Men Gold.

Uncanny X-Men: Winter's End 1 - This on the other hand is that other shoe that dropped.  Don't bother reading this.  I wish I could have those minutes of my life back.

The Boys v7; mostly skipped reading a lot of this because Hughie returns to Scotland, and it's an entire volume of reading written accents which drives me f***ING nuts. I hate it. I read the import overall dialogue and skipped all the return home soul searching crap.

Man, I hear ya. In small doses I like the accents, mostly in the Claremont/Byrne X-Men for some reason  :-\, but having to read page after page ... ugh, that would get old fast.
 :D

And just like Berserker, Jeff, I feel bad I let ya down about the Wally thing. I will do better!!!

Superman 15 - Shenanigans!  I claim Shenanigans! Legion cameo was just to get you to buy this final issue of this arc!  But still was a pretty good issue.

Flash Forward 1 - I'm cautiously optimistic.  Basic setup issue but even though this won't erase the horrible story that got us here, it's a start to get us out.

Black Hammer/Justice League: Hammer of Justice 2 - This started getting better towards the end of this issue.  Might pull out and be ok after all.

Detective Comics 1004 & 1005 - End of the Arkham Knight story arc.  Better than I thought it would be.  We have a new villain in the rogue's gallery that I expect we will see more of.

Detective Comics Annual 2 - An ok one shot with a predictable story.  New villain introduction who will be showing up again.

Detective Comics 1006 - Start of a new arc co-starring the Spectre!  Nice bloody start.  Thumbs up so far.

Gideon Falls 16 - Good issue.  It's all coming together.  Anyone know if this has a set ending issue number?

The Life and Death of Toyo Harada 6 - GREAT ending!  I hope there are more stories with these characters coming.  They have become my favorite of the Valiant universe.

Punk Mambo 5 - Ended much better than it started out.  I wound up liking this a lot.  I see a lot more Punk Mambo in my future.

Asgardians of the Galaxy 7 - End of the arc.  And end of me picking up this book.  I'm sure there are those who enjoy this but it's just not hitting for me.

Black Order 5 - That was fun.  Art in this issue was bad but the overall tale was fine.  Not a must read but I enjoyed it.

Superman 15 - Shenanigans!  I claim Shenanigans!

 :D

Black Hammer/Justice League: Hammer of Justice 2 - This started getting better towards the end of this issue.  Might pull out and be ok after all.

I thought the same. Enjoyed it much more than #1, but I think I am still scared.  :-\

Detective Comics 1006 - Start of a new arc co-starring the Spectre!  Nice bloody start.  Thumbs up so far.

And after #107, the last Spectre arc issue is where I suggest you rethink this title. So hit and miss it isn't funny. Shame too as I enjoy Tynion. Just, yeah, I'm done I think. Although you may like the Deadshot two issue arc if you like Deadshot. I found it to be the last straw however

Gideon Falls 16 - Good issue.  It's all coming together.  Anyone know if this has a set ending issue number?

Not that I am aware ... yet. I just saw where issue #19 was in the solicits for December, and it said nothing about ending in the description of that issue

The Life and Death of Toyo Harada 6 - GREAT ending!  I hope there are more stories with these characters coming.  They have become my favorite of the Valiant universe.

AMEN!!!

Punk Mambo 5 - Ended much better than it started out.  I wound up liking this a lot.  I see a lot more Punk Mambo in my future.

Dang it!! I keep forgetting to get back to this. I actually enjoyed the first issue so I hope I get the same enjoyment that you did.
 :)

Asgardians of the Galaxy 7 - End of the arc.  And end of me picking up this book.  I'm sure there are those who enjoy this but it's just not hitting for me.

Not for me either. You lasted longer than I did, though. I tried to stay for "Throg", but couldn't do it. Sorry little guy.

Speaking of cutting bait ...

Avengers #22
Avengers #23 - I so wanted to get in on the ground floor with the return of GR, but ... not here. No
Invisible Woman #3 - Yep, still loving this. Good story, art and character  ;D
Silver Surfer Black #3
Silver Surfer Black #4 - LOVING this!! Curious to see if Jeff or Jimmy will like the art. I think it is very, very cool, but I like things that remind me of my acid trip days so it fits right in. Give it at least two issues and soak in that art style. Look at each panel or page for the particular layout. It is amazing.
 :D

Batman #78 - Love the writing here, but ... again with this?
Detective #1010
Detective #1011 - Yeah, jut not hitting for me. I'm out!
Even Leviathan #4 - A good read but, no surprise, going nowhere fast! I still enjoy, don't get me wrong  ;D
Batman Universe #1
Batman Universe #2
Batman Universe #3 - Now this ran itself waaaay up my list. The "reprint" (if you will) of the Walmart exclusive, original story by Bendis. Really fun and old school, almost like reading a Brave and the Bold, or a Marvel Team-Up (for my MArvel brain) as you get a co-star each issue but it with a natural progression within the one story. Me Likey! And great art by Nick Derington (that last run of Doom Patrol), almost cartoon like ala Bruce Tim or the animated version of Brave and the Bold, but not quite like either.  ;D Really cool though. Top of the week so far. Yes, even beating out my beloved Sue Storm.

Winter Soldier 4 - Well, this is not going to be good for our old pal Bucky.  Next issue will be interesting even though it's a little predictable.

Read both of these in one sitting!

The Fuse Vol. 2: Gridlock - Great murder mystery.  The setting is on a future space city but a crime story is a crime story no matter where it's at.

The Fuse Vol. 3: Perihelion - Multiple cases all surrounding "Perihelion" which is basically The Fuse's New Year's Eve.  Really fun series.  Mysteries surrounding mysteries.

Fuse was fun, from what I read up to (probably issue 7 or so ... no idea why I stopped, probably same as always  ;D) but I am still shocked you enjoy that and you hate the X-Force art. They are not identical, but I remember them being similar and very close in facial structure if nothing else. I think at least. From what I remember. And we know how THAT works
 :D

Batman #79 - Okay, maybe next issue we will get some action?! Stories good but, again, been here before.
Justice League #32 - Just don't care anymore! I'm done. For reals this time
Justice League Dark Annual #1
Justice League Dark #14 - Well now, first off, I can't believe I got lucky and read these in the correct order.  :D Secondly, look who returns!! I haven't seen this character in years. Of course I don't read a lot of DC, so maybe he has been around? Not sure, but for me, I think I haven't seen him since ... Perez days? Or close to it, I think? Maybe Moore used him, but I have no idea if that is the case. All that said, and onto a different character, I hate the design of ... the female antagonist in issue 14. Ugh, I just can not see that character dressing that way or looking like that.
 ::)

Iosala #9 - I know I said I was going to switch to collected form as the issues read waaay to fast and come out waaay too slow, but it IS such a fast read that I feel I can always finish it within seconds, making for an easy read to knock out.  :-\

I see what you mean but since this is the only version of the Fuse characters we ever see, it doesn't bother me as much.  With the X-Men, I know what they are supposed to look like and this style is too "cartoony" for what I want to see with them.  I'm more forgiving when it comes to the independent titles.
