Title: Re: GREEN LANTERN Post by: Perry on December 01, 2018, 09:55:58 PM Typical Morrison overwriting, cramming in 5 pages of story, action, pacing and dialog into 3 panels, proving once again he needs someone to handle the script to go with his plots.

Honestly, though, that was my impression with JL Odyssey #1. Title: Re: GREEN LANTERN Post by: Jimmy T on January 19, 2019, 10:16:44 PM I'm still digging it after 2 issues. Evil Star made an appearance even! ;D

It could wind up being one of those epic runs after 12 or so issues are done. Title: Re: GREEN LANTERN Post by: Perry on January 21, 2019, 10:07:04 AM I still don't care for it, but it is better than it was at the jump at least.
It's an Elseworlds tale with really bad pacing for me. I enjoy the wackiness, but that pacing is rough. Not my favorite Morrison story to say the least. I will say that if each subsequent issues continues to 'read' as these first two, then yeah, the pacing will feel very off to me as well. |
