Title: Comic Book Day - September 10th Post by: Perry on September 10, 2014, 09:02:16 PM Paid for twice a month shipping on this order, so heading my way as I type this ...
BATMAN HC VOL 01 THE COURT OF OWLS SPIDER-MAN 2099 #3 (Ebay auction set to start at 6 PM Pacific time) AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #6 (Ebay auction set to start at 6 PM Pacific time) FANTASTIC FOUR #10 INHUMAN #5 MARVEL 75TH ANNIVERSARY FREE LAND CVR (Whatever this freebie is) WALKING DEAD HC VOL 10 (MR) Title: Re: Comic Book Day - September 10th Post by: Perry on September 12, 2014, 06:11:02 PM Alright, I will say that "freebie" that DCBS put in this shipment is pretty damn nice. Not your typical "free" type of issue. This puppy is a full size mag celebrating Marvel's 75 years. I mean, this is like an issue of the old Wizard magazine ... for free!!
Kudos to Marvel, but more probably DCBS (as I am sure they had to buy them for at least a little bit) for giving us this for free. Great looking mag!! Title: Re: Comic Book Day - September 10th Post by: Jeff on September 13, 2014, 02:59:44 AM Makese mad I preordered and paid for it. >:(
Title: Re: Comic Book Day - September 10th Post by: Perry on September 13, 2014, 11:09:40 AM You sure, Jeff? This says "free edition" so maybe you ordered a different or better, larger (more pages) one? Or check your order and maybe they credited your account?
If you paid for this, I would ask for a refund. I mean, it is nice for a "free" book, but it isn't nice enough to pay more than $1 for. It has a couple fun, time consuming articles (Marvel's top 75 comics, List and discussion of Marvel's crossover events, interview with Walter Simonson, et al) but it isn't all that. Don't misunderstand me here, it is super nice for a freebie, without question, but ... :-\ And, hey ... where's your list Mr. Weekly shipments ? ;D Title: Re: Comic Book Day - September 10th Post by: Jeff on September 13, 2014, 04:57:43 PM Nope - it's the same magazine. They sent me two copies. Now I will say that they have different covers and the Alex Ross Fantastic Four cover I got is pretty sweet looking.
