Get on board this book people.....as far as superhero books go, it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Agree again (what is this, bizarro day?)  ;D.

It is like Amazing Spider-Man without the bullshit deal with the devil.  :)
(There, that ought to break it up a bit)
 :D

We're going to have to continue the bizarro streak......as I do agree that the deal with the devil in ASM was crap! I'm just still reading the book!  ;D

I too agree!  Starting getting the singles at #60, and then went back and got all the trades.

This is a great series.

Newsarama had a 9-page preview that got me interested. I picked up Invincible Returns yesterday and plan on reading it on my lunch break today.

I am curious to see if there are interactions with Zephyr, Noble Causes and Dynamo 5.

The Invincible Universe is pretty much self-contained, and the interactions with other creator's characters has been pretty limited.

Issue #73 - Viltrumite War is underway.  Lots of punching and fighting as expected.  The last page will put Invincible to the test and see if he can live up to his name!

The latest issue was good.  It felt more like one of the early issues with the interactions between Oliver and Nolan.
Overall very good.  Don't want to spoil it too much here.

Lots of father/son conversation.....and bonding over a little hunting. I thought that Mark's healing factor worked a lot faster.....I hate how it took literally months!  Wolverine heals faster!  Damn alliance traitor in their midst that is going to give the Viltrumites the advantage!

I just finished Vol 12 TPB.  Great trade - almost makes me wish I was getting this monthly so I won't be behind you guys so much.

Make the jump....you know this book is better than some of the books you get on a monthly basis!  ;D

I started picking this up in monthly issues after I read Vol 13.

Love the VILTRUMITE WAR.

By the way, Perry - these issues are still $2.99!

Issue 76.

Spoilers allowed.....

So why would the Vultrimites let Mark and the rest live?  Surely it's more complex than an attack on Earth?

Thoughts?

Got my answer for my previous post.  This can't end well.

The solution that the Regent came up with was totally unexpected. I don't know if it would even work in the Viltrumite favor. If they procreate to beef up their population, there is no way they can convince all off their progeny to join their cause and join the fight. Unless u just raise them to hate...

No kidding - they could easily wind up with a lot of Invincible's on thier hands.  Heck, he could even become thier leader!

Can't remember if the ULTIMATE COLLECTION Vol 7 that I just ordered has the above issue or not. As soon as it gets here, I shall respond (Although, honestly, I still think I have Vol 6 to read)

Issue 85

Yeah, these issues.... #85 & #86 to be exact....weren't that good to me...

In fact, the whole Nolan/Allen storyline, isn't that interesting even though it has important ramifications for the Invincible universe.  The whole punch-out slug-fest stuff gets old, especially with Nolan involved.  He just seems to talk with his fists all the time, but I guess that is the nature of his race....

I'm more interested in what is going on with Robot and Monster Girl....and also what plans Invincible and Dinosaurus got going on!!!!  These developments are incredibly more fascinating....

Oh yeah - I meant to say #86.  I agree with you its not as interesting as the Robot/Monster & Invicible/Dinosaurus stuff but I still enjoyed it.

Invincible 94

This has been a good story arc with a big focus on Robot and Monster.  Big reveal in this issue which I had suspected was going to be the reason for their breakup.

There's supposed to be a death coming up in issue 100.  Any guesses on who it will be?  The new Invincible? Atom Eve? Robot? Monster?

Anyone still reading Invincible?  Latest issue was really good.  The arc is closing out and I dare say its been one of my favorite reads this year.

Still reading it, but probably 3-4 issues behind on my reading hahahaha

Glad to hear that it's still a fantastic read!

Saw that a few days ago and man I am bummed. Even though I haven't read this title in ... years, I have all the HC's and "plan on getting back to it" soon. I hate that it is ending, but sales pretty much tell the tale. It is just costing Kirkman too much for what he is getting back from this title it seems.

Of course, going out on the 12 issue  ;) makes a lot of sense, huh?

I kept up with this in TPB and then it was one of the very first I switched to digital on.  You can get digital fro cheaper than the trades sometimes on Image stuff.

It is still good but I think he was just running out of ideas for it.  I think the core tale of this hero has been told and ending it now is not a bad thing since it's still a fun read.

I was actually curious why he didn't go ahead and do a final six issue arc that ends with 150 though.  Seems like that would be a nice tidy ending number.

Well for floppies it would be, and maybe even for trades, making the last trade v25 (about 6 issues per book) but for the ones he makes the most money on ... I would wager  ;), the issue #144 ending means he can end his HCs at v12 (12 issues per book) and his compendiums at v3 (48 issues per book). I know I will be getting all the HC's once it is complete. Not sure I would buy the last trade to go with my HC's. It would look odd on the shelf.
 :D

Super-bummed. :(

But also heartened that a proper idea, with a good plan is to be had. Even reading through the Ultimate hardcover of volume...11? 12?, I could only wonder how the series continues, or what could happen, or eventually happen.

I've loved reading all of it. To have a definitive answer and ending for the story (and that doesn't mean it's all over; its just ended ;) ), well that's great too. Most of my beloved characters and books do have an end.

But I'll still be sad to see it done.

I think the last time I bought my Ultimate hardcover, I only reread the whole series from 7 and up. Every time before that I had reread ALL of them. I may have to do that when the next volume comes out; or maybe save it for the very final Ultimate one!!!
