This was in the paper last month; I forgot til now to share it!! (and get that paper off my desk and recycled!!)

Phantom Eagle (Gary Friedrich & Herb Trimpe); an Oshkosh pilot named Karl Kaufman. Marvel

Hannibal King (Marv Wolfman & Gene Colan); private detective from Milwaukee. Marvel

Quasar (Don Glut, Roy Thomas and John Buscema); Wendell Vaughn, Born in Fond du Lac! (my stomping grounds), moved to Oshkosh. Marvel

Crossfire (Steven Grant & Jim Craig); CIA interrogation expert William Cross born in Madison (a foe to Hawkeye once). Marvel

Sidewinder (Mark Gruenwald & Ralph Macchio); Seth Voekler, economics professor from Kenosha, started the Serpent Society.

**Also, Mark Gruenwald graduated college from UW-Oshkosh, where I got my art degree.

Mister Fear (Steven Grant & Carmine Infantino); Alan Fagan, from Madison, inherits the moniker Mister Fear from his uncle.

The Badger (Capital Comics), Norbert Sykes, Madison native Vietnam veteran with MPD who the Badger is one of.

Obsidian & Jade (Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway), adopted into a Milwaukee home. DC comics

Mr. Immortal (John Byrne); Craig Hollis from Sheboygan, forms the Great Lake Avengers

Atlas & Smuggler (Fabian Nicieza);  Conrad Josten and older brother Erik come from family farm in Madison. Erik as Goliath was around a lot earlier than Fabian's creation

Juston Seyfert (Sean McKeever); high school student from Antigo gets a Sentinel as his best bud!

Gravity (Sean McKeever & Mike Norton); Sheboygan raised Greg Willis, high school student moves to New York after gaining gravity powers.

**Sean McKeever is also a Wisconsin native. He did one fill in issue of Incredible Hulk, where Killer Shrike was in Wausau to pull a heist, since no heroes in the Midwest! Imagine his chagrin as the Hulk was passing through!

Aviore (Zeb Hatfield & John Osborne); a collaboration between Stan Lee and the EAA aeronatics program to promote Airventure with the international EAA org.

“If I could go back in time and like tell 11 year old me that like not only do you get to go to Comic Con but you go every year.  So much so that you get greeted by Stan Lee when you show up.  And 11 year old me would be like - How did we get so fat?”- Kevin Smith

 Grin
That's cool.

Man, The Badger  Smiley by Mike Baron, also a state native, yeah? From Madison. I loved the idea of the book. It was okay at times, but could've been soo much more

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley
