Batman 95 - Joker War

(W) James TynionIV (A/CA) Jorge Jimenez
It was always going to come to this. The Clown Prince of Crime and the Dark Knight Detective go head-to-head for the last time. The Joker has never wanted to win before, he's never wanted his battle with Batman to end, but now his motivation has shifted. He has decided that one way or another, this will be the final chapter to their story. 'Joker War' begins here!

OMG - How many times have we heard this in just the past few years?!?!?!?

I am so done with this title.

Just thought about this, even though I, Like you, am so over the Joker, this may tie-in with John's 3 Jokers. It is going to be hard to stay away from if that is the case.

The good news is that this sounds like it is just going to be the next step in Tynion's Batman plan and possibly "end" with this issue, plus 3 Jokers is suppose to be a Black Label title, I am quite sure, so it could very well be on its own, with only the aftereffects being felt in DC proper, but ... BUT ... not sure that will be the case. And if it does tie-in, in any form, like setting up what/where Geoff Johns needs the Joker to be, I may have to pull Batman back off of my DCU list and start getting it again. Before I even stopped.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley

Looking through more previews it becomes apparent that this is the 80th anniversary year of Jokers creation.  So that’s probably why we’re getting flooded with him this summer.
