Sleeper Book One (Collects POINT BLANK #1-5, SLEEPER #1-12)   Vol 1 - Oh yeah.  That ended just the way a Brubaker/Phillips comic should.  Expect the unexpected.  Always.  Big thumbs up.  So glad the season two series is on the list this week.

Avengers 11 - Yeah, I am just not feeling it with this comic.  Thor doesn't even sound like Thor and this is Jason Aaron writing him?  I've been on the fence for the entire run so I'm not sure why I keep trying to make myself enjoy it.  I'm done.

Dead Man Logan 2 - This, on the other hand, is fun.  It has the potential to go south so I'm proceeding with caution.  Right now I'm liking it.  Hopefully Sin won't get too crazy.

Extermination 5 - At first I thought this was bad.  Then it got interesting.  And won me over by the end.  Looking forward to reading what this setup even though I know it's all going to change when Hickman takes over.  But that's ok.  I still liked it in the end.

Infinity Wars 6 - Really let down by this series.  Glad it's over.   Angry

Infinity Wars: Fallen Guardian 1 - I guess I didn't know the origin of the character highlighted here.  I enjoyed this just for getting to learn that.

Sleeper Book One (Collects POINT BLANK #1-5, SLEEPER #1-12)   Vol 1 - Oh yeah.

Yeah man, I remember really enjoying that. My first dippin' of the toes into Brubaker.  Grin

Royal City 6 - 10 - Love this story.

I enjoyed the first couple I read, just another series I need to get back to  Angry

Avengers 11 - Yeah, I am just not feeling it with this comic.  Thor doesn't even sound like Thor and this is Jason Aaron writing him?  I've been on the fence for the entire run so I'm not sure why I keep trying to make myself enjoy it.  I'm done.

I didn't notice an issue with Aaron's Thor voice, other than the one aspect I hate
the Thor/Jennifer Walters connection thing
which may make Thor sound off in your ears, almost non-Thor ... I can see it for sure. And I totally understand you dropping the title. I can't even begin to read any of the issues drawn by Mcguinnes, I just hate the look in this title. It really affects the story to the point it makes the writing off. It is that obtrusive! I loved the few issues David Marquez(?) drew, the Namor story, as well as issue #13, drawn by Andrea Sorrentino, the Iron Fist from 1,000,000 BC (which was a pretty cool story that you SHOULD check out!!! Really, you should!  Smiley
So ya, I understand you dropping this, I have mostly although I did somewhat enjoy the last arc with the vampires and Blade, but again, that was David Marquez(?) ... I can't remember how to spell his name  Grin ... but I am currently right there with ya, not reading Avengers as Mcguinnes is back (but yes, check out issue #13's standalone issue)

Infinity Wars 6 - Really let down by this series.  Glad it's over.

Haha, yeppers! This thing went from being a pretty decent read, at the beginning of Infinity Countdown, to a total mess. Yuk!!

As for me, starting decent enough, but I feel I should have read so much more. Still feeling a tad sick, so maybe that is my excuse? I know I felt tons worse after reading one of the issues below. Left me feeling queasy
 Angry

Action Comics #1012 - Leviathan arc continues. Good stuff
Batman #73 - Lots of panels, few words. Also, I ... no ... I'll ask in a bit ...
Batman & the Outsiders #2 - Yeah, Jeff got me to try this again and okay, okay, I will try to keep up  Cheesy
Superman- Year One (Black Label) #1 - GARBAGE!!! This is crap in the highest order. I honestly can only think of one book that has turned me away from a creator more than this issue. I have not read a worse written story since Neil Adam's Batman Odyssey. While that was just a crazy written book written by an artist that should never, ever write again, this was by an actual writer whose time I felt had possibly past him by, at least with his last few efforts, but this issue not only just proved that is indeed the case, it also makes me think I (and everyone else in the comics industry) was wrong about him in the first place. Yes, this is so bad that I am questioning if Frank Miller was ever a good writer? Yes, All-Star Batman was bad, and Master Race ... okay, I didn't read that one ... but I heard it wasn't good  Cheesy ... but this takes the cake. The Lana Lang stuff alone is ...

Look, I know it is Black Label, all adult stuff and all, but I will almost bet the house that Jimmy would enjoy reading 30 issues in a row of Bendis Superman title than read this after issue one. Maybe I have that all wrong, but to me, it is that bad.

But okay, I will try this issue again later, maybe, if I see it again I may pick it up and see if maybe, just maybe it was me being sick that made this such a bad comic for me, it is possible I guess (I am having trouble remembering a couple things from the issue). Who knows, maybe I will think it wasn't as bad as I am currently remembering, but I honestly don't see how I could come away thinking this was a good comic.

Also, as far as Batman #73 -
How is Thomas Wayne even here? I know he was on Banes side of things, or at least it appears to be, knocking out Alfred and all, although now it seems he is trying to "bring the family back together", but last time I remember seeing him he blew up sending Bruce back to this time/universe.
Did I miss/forget something?

Also also  Grin I mentioned the fact that Mcguinnes is killing my Avengers reading, well I haven't been able to enjoy Aaron's stuff in Thor either as DelMundo is just not a fit for Thor. Two titles that have two artist, that I do like, but are on two titles they should never be on. It is killing me.

End rant.  Grin

Ok, Yes.  This I can do.   Smiley

How ironic since you convinced me to put this on hold until it comes out on DC Universe!   Cheesy

Yes, yes.  I feel this way too.  Although I don't hate it as much on Thor as I do McGuinnes on Avengers, it does make one wonder why they keep picking it up.

Ascender 2 - This is shaping up nicely.  I sense another good Lemire series building.

Black Science 40 - Getting close to series end.  Good thing too.  I don't think my brain can handle anymore twisty onion levels!

Thief of Thieves 43 - And that's a wrap.  Last issue of the series and ends with a bang.  I enjoyed the series only wishing it would have come out more consistently.  It was hard to remember where we were at with all the gaps between issues at the end.  But if you've missed it don't fear.  It should read great in collected editions.

Marvel Knights 20th 4 - And Black Panther enters the story.  Still great.

Old Man Hawkeye 12 - And the series ends as awesomely as it began.  Great story and so glad that surprise epilogue hints of more to come!

Thor 8 - Ugh.  Just as we talked about earlier.  This art is killing this.  If it wasn't for the greatness that is Thori the dog I'd be close to skipping this title.

Action Comics 1012 - Leviathan tie-in.  Nothing major here; just a filler issue.

The Life and Death of Toyo Harada 3 - Major stuff here!  The final battle starts here and is so good.

Bloodshot Rising Spirit 7 - This origin series is two or three issues too long.  Glad the next issue is finally the last.

Well, in all honesty, just so Jimmy'e head doesn't explode from laughter  Cheesy, it wasn't as much a filler issue as a small progression of the story  Grin.
I will say it has some weird ass art. Some of it look good, but those images of Lois, with virtually no room between her bottom lip and chin, looked strange. Made her look chubby as hell in the face.

The Life and Death of Toyo Harada 3 - Major stuff here!  The final battle starts here and is so good.

Yes indeed!!!! Mech Major even  Grin

Oh I tried this one, but I had to jump very early on. I actually thought it finished at #7 until I saw that issue #8 had hit.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley

Doctor Aphra 27 - Geez this comic cracks me up.  Soooo good.  The banter between Aphra and this killer protocol droid just never gets old.

Uncanny X-Men 6 - Not liking this arc.  Hopefully it's almost over.
