Black Hammer ‘45 #3 - An ok issue.  The art really is terrible, unfortunately.  It's so distracting that I can't tell if I like the story or not.  There's a mystery here somewhere.  I'm curious to see where that goes.

Fallen World 1 - Before reading I had 2 concerns. 1. Dan Abnett writes this.  2. The art is not the same amazing art from the original RAI book.  After reading this I'm ok with both.  The jury is still out but the first issue is a decent start to a new story in RAI's world.

The Walking Dead 191 - HOLY CRAP!  WHAT THE...?!  OH....MY....GAWD.

It's always dicey with a comic that talks about politics.  The great thing about this comic is that both political sides are shown as corrupt and without any redeeming qualities.  And Spider just rages against them all.  It's awesome.

And it doesn't hurt that his two hot assistants simply tolerate him most of the time.   Cheesy

Infinity War 4 & 5 - I like the team Loki has put together.  The fights are fun.  But that's about it.  This really isn't a good event even when skipping all the crossovers.

Asguardians of the Galaxy 3 - I shouldn't like this comic if for no other reason then it has the Frog Thor in it.  But Nebula makes for a great foil for this team.  Against all odds, I'm enjoying this title.

Infinity War 4 & 5 ..... This really isn't a good event ....

It just kept getting worse and worse for me. And I mean the entire "Infinity _____" (fill-in the blank) series.

So made it to the LCS yesterday and had the full intention of reading the last issue of Heroes in Crisis as soon as I walked in. However, as I stepped over the threshold, I was handed a book Dave knew I would want more. A book I didn't even know was coming out this week. So that title pushed HiC (Hey  Grin, "Hi C" ... remember that drink? Do they still make that?) ... anyway, that pushed the Wally reading to second.
 Grin

Now, when I finally got to Heroes in Crisis, I only read a couple pages when I realized I was over my skis here. I saw
two Wally's. One from the future, like 15 minutes or something like that, and one in the current timeline. But I was reading the one from the future, again, not years in the future but just minutes ... unless I read that wrong, which is a possibility, giving advice to this other Wally?
Is that what I read?

Regardless, I stopped reading because I felt lost as hell and I knew I wouldn't get what was going on even if I read the entire issue. Like I said earlier, I hadn't read more than issue #1 because I was waiting for the series to be complete before reading it. I was spoiled on issue #8, so I was hoping I could come in and just read #9 ... NOPE.
 Grin

After I finish with this post, listing the one comic I read yesterday  Undecided,  I am going to go read Jeff's spoiler tags and hopefully gain a little info on what the heck is going on with HiC.  Cheesy If not, I may ask you, Jeff, to give me more info so I don't have to read the entire mini  Cheesy Or maybe I will just read the entire mini anyway. I really should as it seems to be an important thing to at least have knowledge of. Maybe going forward even.

Alrighty, the one comic I read yesterday -

A Walk Through Hell #10 - An almost pure talky talky issue but darn it!!!! I should have waiting for issue #11 to read this. This ending ...

Not as powerful as some of the other issues, but certainly one that I would consider a cliffhanger. What is maybe worse about this ending ... I'm thinking about my buddy Jeff. He reads this in trades and I can't remember if the first trade only collected the first five issues or six. If they collect six issues that is good, but if they are only collecting five issues at a time with this series, issue #10 will end the second volume of the trade, meaning Jeff would have to wait months and months for the issue #11's potential (hopeful) resolution
 Cry

Now Jeff, I don't want you to think the ending was uber powerful or a super cliffhanger, it wasn't, really, but it was one that has me ... well, let's just say that I am really concerned for our two cops now
 Grin

EDIT - Well, just reads Jeff's spoiler stuff and ... yeah, guess I gotta read this entire mini

Yep - that's what you read but I won't say anymore.  Go ahead and read the whole thing.  I know you like Tom King and since you don't have the same attachment as me to Wally you may like this.  At any rate you almost have to read it all to understand the end.

First Trade was 1-5.  Logic says next one will be 6-10  but it looks like issue 12 might be the end of the whole story.  I doubt they'll have a 2 issue trade so maybe this last one will have 7 issues in it?

Well good, as I also doubt the 2 issues will be trade worthy  Grin

However, I assumed it was only going to be a 12 issue, if not a 10 issue run, but did you see it is done after 12 somewhere? Just curious. I can't see it going past that any way, but as I love the series, I wouldn't mind a 15 issue run myself

I'm making an assumption after reading this in previews:

"A Walk Through Hell #11
With the unfortunate McGregor’s aid, Shaw finally gets the answers she’s been waiting for—and very quickly wishes she hadn’t. The mysteries behind the disappearances of Driscoll, Goss and Hunzikker are revealed…leaving only the question of Carnahan himself. The penultimate episode of A Walk Through Hell, by Garth Ennis and Goran Sudzuka."

At the very least I think that means the end of this story is in issue 12.
