.....Robert Pattinson.  I had to look him up because I've never heard of him.  I must have been the only one.

"Robert Pattinson to Play ‘The Batman’ for Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. (EXCLUSIVE)

He’s going from sex symbol to bat symbol. Sources tell Variety that Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to play “The Batman” in Matt Reeves’ forthcoming superhero film, which hits theaters June 25, 2021.

While sources say it’s not yet a done deal, Pattinson is the top choice and it’s expected to close shortly. Warner Bros. had no comment."

Ya know, I think I can buy it.

Sure, the Twilight movies are awful tween girl shlock, but man, he made his millions from that. I know he's distanced himself very quickly and assuredly from them. He's got acting chops to him.

Remember, Michael Keaton was 'Mr. Mom' before Batman!

i'm more than willing to give it a shot at least until I see the first trailer and then I reserve my judgement.

That being said, you have to admit this is rife with joke material.

That’s a very good point.  His success  definitely opened the door for unconventional casting.

I actually know nothing of his work so for me he gets a fair shake by default.  I have no preconceived notions.
