I guess I'm still ahead of everyone else.
"True "dat!"
You did set one heck of a reading list for yourself. No wonder why you can't seem to catch up, life will not allow it!
I got a few issues in this week. Not a lot, but a decent amount for me and mostly an enjoyable week for what I did read. Although I just have to get more of my "other publishers" reading in this next week
Guardians of the Galaxy #4 - Really enjoying this. At least better than Duggan's cosmic stuff near the end
Uncanny X-Men #12
Uncanny X-Men #13
Uncanny X-Men #14 - There is some good stuff here. Kind of a shame Hickman is taking over and killing it. Kind of
Amazing Spider-Man #19.HU - Liking these "HU" issues, focusing on the villians POV. This was the best one so far I think. This featured the Lizard and I love the way Bachalo draws this character. All big head and neck!!!
Aquaman #47 - The Gods fight back!!! Good last issue of the story ... or is it? That last page ...
Dial H for Hero #1 - Always loved the idea of this book, more than the execution usually. This was okay.
Hawkman #9
Hawkman #10
Hawkman #11 - One more Hitch issue. Enjoyable by in large, want to see what is next however.
Justice League #21 - Why do I keep doing this to myself?
Flash #68 - Ugh, the dialog here.
I am reminded that it wasn't just the over use of lightning around the Flash that made me leave this title way back when, it is the way this writer writes dialog for this book. I was off this title pretty much from page 3 or 4 until, like Jeff had alluded to ... that last page. Gonna try one more issue. I hope it isn't too good. I don't think I have too much to worry about ... I just don't like this writer on this character.
Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt #4 - This issue writer Gillien goes well off my path. The way it is drawn and the subject matter is an ode to a cartoonist that I am not familiar with, it was still an enjoyable read, but I didn't get a lot of the nuances that those more in-tune with the issues connection to its subject (or how it is such an homage) got. Didn't take away from the main story and it was a very cool look and layout, so I am cool with it. Still enjoy this book when I don't know what the heck is going on it seems.
