As for Action
I really like how they are using Red Death. Just here and there, ya know? She is a problem, but one that is not the main topic of the issues. Not really

Teen Titans (1966-1978) #4 & 5  - My favorite quote from issue 4 - Robin: "I'll bet my Beatles records - that's it!"

Detective Comics 994-999 -   Not bad.  Enough to probably get me back on Detective although I'm not really hip on the upcoming Arkham Knight story line.  We'll see how issue #1000 goes and I might be back on.

Justice League Dark 9 - I don't really care about this story and yet...I can't look away.  It has to be the characters.  Most of them are pretty awesome and fun to read.  I have this "feeling" the payoff is going to be big.

The Flash 66 - Oh yeah.  This is back on the reading list.  Great start for this arc.  Left me wanting more more more!

I bought!!!!

Aquaman 44-45

I have been kinda digging this title again. Started off fine, going through a good idea but it has gotten even better lately. Jeff, are you still on this? I forget

I bought!!!!

The Green Lantern 3-5

I want to know how you feel about this after you read these two issues. I could understand you going either way, just curious to know if you still enjoy what he is doing here and if so is it because of the zaniness, the plot, the dialog (no, it can't be that  Cheesy) or the way he is treating Hal. Of course it could be all of the above, or any combination, I'm just curious.
 Smiley

I bought!!!!

Justice League 15-19

Ahhh, my current nemesis.  Cheesy I abhor an issue, swear I am off this title and then I am reading through the pages the very next issue.
 Cheesy

I bought!!!!

Shazam 2-3

I know you liked issue #1 and I am so glad you did. This has to be taking the place of your Superman, yeah? I mean this is so bright and shiny. Glad you have this.
 Cool

Detective Comics 994-999 -   Not bad.

Yep. I felt the same way. I wish I could have got you in time. I know you saved money as they were on sale, and it started off being a really cool arc, but it just ended ... I don't know. And the fact that it (seemingly) has nothing to do with the big 1K issue kinda sucks
 Undecided

Justice League Dark 9 - I don't really care about this story and yet...I can't look away.  It has to be the characters.  Most of them are pretty awesome and fun to read.  I have this "feeling" the payoff is going to be big.

I hope so, because I feel the same

The Flash 66 - Oh yeah.  This is back on the reading list.  Great start for this arc.  Left me wanting more more more!

Yeah, I even snatched up issue 46 through ... something from my boy to back read as I read current issues.
And hey, that Kolins art didn't hurt. I don't know why, I am not really of fan of his art on any other property ... well ... he was pretty darn good on that Avengers thing ... but man, put him on Flash and it just screams Must Read for me. I wont even mention that I still have yet to read his and Johns Flash run

 Shocked Shocked

I KNOW!!!!

One of many great runs I have to read.

I really think I am just going to have to swear off all new titles until I catch up on some of these great runs I have to read or reread. But how can I stop? I need Dave to move ... like he said he was gonna.
 Tongue

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
(Just kidding man, don't do that shit!)
 Kiss

I got through a few yesterday, waiting on the wife to return from DC -

Calamity Kate #1
Ronin Island #1
- Two new issues that were pushed on me, again, as soon as I walked in the door. Calamity Kate (Dark Horse) was fine, it shows promise for a mini, but it didn't grab me as much as it did Tom I guess. Ronin Island (Boom) was crazy cool but the art was not what I want. Bottom line, this week I walked away without having to add another title, so TAKE THAT!!! Leave me alone for a few weeks, damn it!
 Cheesy

Flash #66 - A cool start to a cool Flash villain. And by cool I mean he is cool because he is not cool  Grin Like Jeff, I think I am back on ... on. Williamson's writing never grabbed me before, so I was never really "on" in the first place, so I am just on ... for now.
Of course hopefully having a Flash that isn't hidden behind 6,839 bolts of freaking lightning every panel will help me stay on board.
 Tongue

Fantastic Four #4 - Ugh, such dreck! Just horrible. Gonna try and push through to be caught up, but ... why?
GoTG #2 - This title is going to be cool just based on the amount of characters  Grin
Invaders #2 - OH MY GOD! I want Butch Guice on more stuff. I miss his stuff. He blows it away here!
Amazing Spider-Man #17 - First off I guess I had the wrong numbers last week. I posted I read Amazing 17 and 17HU, but that must have been issues 16 and 16HU ... ooops. That said ... man I am having fun with this arc. So late 70's, so cool and crazy

Captain Marvel #1
Uncanny X-Men #164
- These two issues (of the three, sent to me for being a Patreon of Comic Book Club ... three crazy guys and a podcast), celebrate early issues, and one not too early issue, of Captain Marvel. Celebrating the release of the new movie. All issues are under the True Believer Banner, which is a cool way to get new readers as each issue is only a buck, or less if you go through DCBS  Wink The Cap #1 is the Kelly Sue Deconnick issue that the movie is based on, The Uncanny issue is the first appearance of Binary (and I love how they try and hide it in the comic, showing just pieces of her until her big reveal, panels later ... even though she is highlighted on the freakin' cover!!!  Cheesy These two were, well, ya know, cool little reads. Well, I say little but you guys know Claremont, not light reading as he has dialog or captions everywhere
 Grin
They also sent me the True Believers copy of Avengers #89, the start of the Kree/Skrull War which I will be reading today

Sadly, no.  I got bored.

That's ok.  It was still a decent Batman story which I've been in need of.

I could easily jump ship after this Trickster arc but the way it started - definitely on this arc to the end.  And if like you said there's not a gabillion lightning bolts and the stories maintain this one's quality, could be here for awhile.

Teen Titans (1966-1978) #6, 7, & 8 - Whew.  I don't know if I can make it through all of these.  Cheeeeeeeezey!  How can I not be terrified by villains like the Mad Mod and Honey Bun?  I can't help but read the narration in that narrator's voice from the Adam West Batman series.  These are definitely written for young kids of the 60's.  Issue 6 did have Beast Boy in it as a guest appearance.  So that was kind of fun.

Yeah, I have tried many an older title such as that and ... it takes a special frame of mind for me to get through an issue most times.
I actually had plans on reading all of the LoSH stories from the beginning to the last but only made it through a couple panels before telling myself I should start a little later than I had hoped. And that is coming from a place in my heart I hold dear.

Although realizing now that I was only 10 or 11 when the writer of those stories was just hitting puberty himself helps with the sadness I feel of not being able to read them all like I had hoped.

I'm really jealous of the kids today (even though they are very few in numbers) that get the kind of writing we get now compared to what "comics" were back in the 60's and early 70's.

I love the Fantastic Four and I love Stan Lee, I do, but reading some of his stuff when I was 10 and rereading it now, compared to the kids today that read ... say ... Hickman's FF a few years back and picturing them going back and rereading him ... yeah, they have it much better!!!

X-Men Grand Design - Second Genesis 2 - Nice timing.  This covers the time right after Dark Phoenix dies on the moon up to right before X-Tinction.  Good timing since that means it covers all of the introduction of Rogue and the X-adventures with Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers).  Great refresh to the ole noodle.

New Mutants: Dead Souls 6 - Ok - cliff hanger ending to this mini.  And THAT's the story I would have rather read!!  Clearly setup for the next mini or series.  And yeah - I'm gonna get it!

Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends 1 -  Liked it.  It ends the whole "Hunt" story arcs, introduces the true villain,  and sets up the story for Return of Wolverine.  Well done.  And I'm looking forward to reading the Return!

Extermination 2 - Thumbs up.  I'm liking this mini.

X-Men: Gold 35 - Glad that boring arc is over.

Old Man Logan Annual 1 - OML meets Old Man Punisher.  And it's a decent story.

Death of Inhumans 3 - Oh man - AWESOME cliff hanger!  I can't wait for next issue!!

Astonishing X-Men 15 - I like this team.  Not a big fan of story so far.

Haven't read much this week, and I don't see me reading much more honestly, though I will likely get at least 2 or 3 more in. But yeah, here is the small amount so far:

Immortal Hulk #14 - Another very good issue with an ending that has me worried. Kinda
Journey Into Unknown Worlds #1 - One of Marvel's 80th Anniversary one-shots. An okay read for what it was
Fantastic Four #5
Fantastic Four #6
- Ugh, ya know, this last issue, six, was, plot wise, pretty darn cool and I was honestly able to put some of the horrendous dialog aside and partly enjoy the story, but it is rough. I more or less have to somewhat ignore the speech bubbles and text boxes, insert the words I want there and then enjoy the book
 Cheesy
Okay, not really, but I think I should give that a go next time I read something that just sounds off. Like, for one example, when Dr. Doom says stuff like after doing something .... that worked-
"...let's not rest on our laurels"
 Undecided
And I know that doesn't look too bad, well, yeah, it does, but it is even worse when read in context of the issue. Even still, looking forward to issue #7 as, again, this story was pretty cool ... in idea, if not execution
 Undecided

Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #1
Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #2
- Man, this arc is going really wacky. Maybe it is just the show is still in my head?
Life and Death of Toyo Harada #1 - Ya really need to be up on your Toyo Grin  to fully enjoy this issue, but I think everyone here is after reading "Imperium". Of course you will be able to enjoy it if you haven't it, you will just come in a little behind as far as who is who. But if you have access to, and need a refresher, rereading or at least perusing Imperium for said refresher wouldn't hurt. I should have done so as I had forgotten who/what one character was until the last couple of pages, but that was probably just my memory issue. And it did come back to me pretty quickly there at the end
 Grin

EDIT - And yeah, Wringer, Jedi and anyone else ... if you haven't tried Valiant, I say pick up Unity and Imperium  Smiley

Didn't get any further today.  I actually finished this last night.  Looks like my list for next week will be huge.

Teen Titans (1966-1978)   #9 - I had pic's to show ya from this one but I can't upload them from work.  I'll add them tomorrow if I remember.  I mean - you can't have a sixties adventure without a beach party right?  And a billboard in the background with an Ad for the Batman TV series?

I'd also say, to be the completist for Toyo, gotta read the first Harbinger War to lead through into Unity and Imperium.

I know there are more stories before THAT, but for *this* Valiant regime, I feel I've gotten near the full deal to understand the character.

True that.  Of course, a full completist would go back and read the first Harbinger series where he starts..... Grin

But you noted that and the best stories are from the H-War forward.  As long as you get some of the Bleeding Monk in there.

Good advice!! And even though you did preface it by saying
"I know there are more stories before THAT, but ..."
I do agree with Jeff when he says

So good and so much like older X-Men!!

I just got a couple more in, though nothing to scream about -

Fantastic Four #7 - Oh what this story could've been. Big, cool idea but I'm so let down with the execution
Marvel Comics Presents #2 - Three more stories from the newest MCP incarnation. Remember when this title was big? I never thought that Americans would ever support an anthology type comic but man, back in the day they sure did. This title was a biggie at one point and while I don't see it ever gaining that popularity again, I will say I am kinda digging it.
But then again I may just pile up the issues to read them "en volum" as my brain has a hard enough time reading full issues month to month, much less a title with three shorter issues between the covers  Cheesy Of course that reminds me .... this title was a weekly title back when it was uber popular, yeah? That makes more sense for the American readers that we are.

Immortal Hulk #14
Journey Into Unknown Worlds #1
Fantastic Four #5
Fantastic Four #6

Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #1
Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion #2
