Dangit - now that I've bought all those New Superman issues today, I see a trade collecting them all is coming out on Oct 4.

Normally it is depending on how many issues are collected.  You save the price of about one comic on the 6 issue collections like this one.  List price is $16.99 but they usually sell on ComiXology for between $11.99 and $14.99.  Even at $16.99 you'd save a couple of bucks.

The Batman Vol 3 that I just bought was for $12.99 and it collects BATMAN #16-20, 23-24 and BATMAN ANNUAL #1.

Sold separately those issue's total $25.92.  That's a tad more than 1/2 price.

Not sure what is "Extended" on the Mister Miracle Preview.  It's just first four pages of issue 1.  You can skip it and just get the real issue 1.

I've always thought about starting Astro City.  Wouldn't know where to begin. Not that have the room for it.   Cheesy

You start with the 6 issue mini, then the 24, or 25 issues after that.

I understand Busiek has continued to write more, but I haven't read past that. Wink

And that was just 6 months ago, too!

You start with the 6 issue mini,

Yeah, and this run is so old ... it is funny how many "...@compuserve" and "Netcom.com" E-mail address there are in these letters pages. Hahaha.
Also, in issue #4's letter page, there is a letter from a guy in Virginia Beach that I know. Not greatly, not a good friend, more of an acquaintance, but I used to see him around in years now past. That felt weird seeing his name like that. I hadn't thought about him in ... well ... years.
 Grin

Also, Jimmy, in issue #4, if you still have access to it ... is that suppose to be
Stan Lee standing beside what is suppose to be Jack Kirby in that "pin-up" of the "Furst Family"?
The Furst Family obviously a play on Marvel's First Family, but in the pin-up, at the very end of Issue #4, the guy standing with the pipe looks more like it could be more Steve Ditko than Stan Lee. I could see it going either way as Stan And Jack "co"-created the FF and Stan did have a pipe for awhile, but could also see Busiek paying homage to both Kirby and Ditko as being the first family of pencilers at Marvel. Opinions?

EDIT - I forgot World Reader #6 - Last issue of series. Meh  Undecided

Love the Star Trek mirror universe.  Reading the Next Gen crew in that universe is kind of fun.  Not a must read but fun if you like that stuff like I do.
