Gak

I feel that there is too much for me to try and follow and read.

Not with the little guy wanting attention and play time.

But I watched the Justice League trailer.

Aquaman is going to be so BA. Grin

For some reason I'm really not that excited about Justice League.  Although I did get excited seeing Wonder Woman in the trailer.

Have not kept up fully, but some of the things I am psyched for-

- The restart of Challengers of the Unknown - If Marvel won't give me my damn Fantastic Four, I will be more than happy to go over to DC and read the original version of the team. Okay, not exactly the same, but better than Marvel's version right now!! So hyped for this!!!!

- And speaking of the FF -
"... and teased by Jeff Lemire on Twitter was announced. “The Terrifics” is a new book by Lemire and Ivan Reis seekung to recapture the feeling of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s “Fantastic Four.” The team will include Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho, Plastic Man, and Phantom Girl."

PHANTOM GIRL!!!! MY FAVORITE F'n LEGIONNAIRE? Hells Yeah!!! Done and done, bitches!!!  Cheesy

- And speaking of Jeff Lemire (one of my top 3 writers currently)
"Lemire teased that he just might be working on a Hawkman series but said nothing one way or another."

Can I hear a Hell yeah?!?! If he could bring back half of what I (and I believe Jimmy as well  Wink) loved about Johns run I would be ecstatic!! (So many "!" in this post) Cheesy Cheesy

- And speaking of Jeff Lemire (again), congrats to my boy on winning an Eisner
Best New Series
Black Hammer, by Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston (Dark Horse)

Absolutely an amazing book *cough, cough* Jimmy *cough*  Grin

And Marvel did have a couple things I am hopeful/excited about, even if they are all centered around one writer -

- Newly signed Marvel exclusive writer Donny Cates (“God Country,” “Babyteeth”) will be the new writer of “Thanos” starting with issue #11

Okay, I was going to drop Thanos when Lemire left, but I will stay on for Cates. I haven't read his Buzzkill yet, but I have heard it is worth a read. I do know that I enjoyed his Paybacks mini-series, both volumes, and his current Redneck comic (Image) is really good. Heck the first part of God Country was also fun. I didn't care for the ending, but it was writing very well. Babyteeth I just started so ... no opinion on that yet

And speaking of Donny Cates
- We also learned more about the previously announced Doctor Strange series Cates will be writing with artist Gabriel Walta (“Vision,” “Magneto”)

I think that is a perfect match for writer, artist and character. Bravo to this editor. This is how you put together a team!! All over me some Cates Strange! ... Ummm .... I mean Cates Dr. Strange.  Cheesy

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley
