You won't believe this.  Locke & Key Vol 6 has been on sale on ComiXology for $11.99 forever.  Today was the day I finally got to this Trade and I went to buy it......and it's $19.99.   Angry    I guess the lesson here is buy it as soon as it's on sale.  Means I should probably buy those Nailbiter Trades that are on sale for $5.99.

Interestingly enough, buying the individual issues that are in Vol 6 costs $17.93.  Still more than $11.99 but less than $19.99 so I went that route.  Gotta finish this series!!

Here's what I plan on reading this week.....

Man did I love that one shot of Locke & Key's "Small World". Not sure if it was the story or the fact it was such a long time since I was able to read a L&K story that it hit me so hard.
 Grin

Oh yeah, and Jeff, I re-read that first issue of the latest revamp of Youngbloods and well, I can't say I loved it, typical set up issue, but I enjoyed it enough to put issue #2 in my to read pile
 Cheesy Cheesy
Not sure what that tells ya, but if it is on sale, maybe take a shot? It reads like the first issue of Dynamo 5 or ... dang it ... OH DAMN IT !!! ... I can't think of the name of it now ... it had the image of a bloody hero's face ... starred a couple of teens that got powers and fought each other ... I think it was an Image book ... Maybe not though ... AARRRHHH ... I can see that face ... it took up most of the cover ... Dang it!
Yeah, it reminded me of that a little.

 Grin

EDIT - GOT IT !!!
DANGER CLUB... it reminds me a little bit of Danger Club-
THIS cover is what was in my head

Well, of course the story isn't at all similar, but it has kinda the same art style and general writing tone ... while being completely different.

Your reading this the best way Jimmy.  Waiting months for each issue is painful.

Got that right Jeff. I feel he wrote those 12 issues just to give Quitely time to draw the next 6 for Jupiter's Legacy.

I also read:

Imperium vol 4.

So glad to get back to my Valiant reading!!!! I've got Ninja vol 3 & 4 yet, and Bloodshot Reborn vol 3.

Very glad there are websites out there to tell me the reading order of the Valiant trades.

Also..I think I may 'bite the bullet' and get the HC Deluxe editions of X-o Manowar. Why get all the loose trades when the deluxe exists?

I'm also very on the rails about going pure digital with Valiant, since I've started reading Valiant via the trade way (and at 40% off and more on Instock, it's a great way to go!)

And this is yet another fine example of why Marvel Comics is failing. Why did they not do this with Guardians? (maybe they did and I just didn't hear about it, but that is still a problem, yes?)

Or, and maybe Marvel did this as well, why not show a huge ad for the Guardians of the Galaxy comic right before the start of the Guardians movie? Something that shows past covers and has something like -
"Kids (and adults alike), if you enjoy seeing the Guardians in this movie, be sure to check out their other high action adventures in the pages of "The Guardians of the Galaxy comic"! Sold at local comic shops everywhere.
To find a local comic shop just call 1-888-COMICBOOK or go to COMICSHOPLOCATOR.COM and let the adventure begin!"

Ya know? I have no business training and yet I, a medicated moron sitting at home on his ass, can come up with ideas to help promote your comics yet you guys do nothing but raise prices and put out more "soon to fail" titles?

Another thing and something I heard on some podcast that, for the life of me, I can't remember right now where it was, but ...
(and I am paraphrasing here, of course)
 Grin

So Marvel has a Guardian movie coming out and if anyone would like to read more about them, they walk into a comic store and what do they see? A good, solid cover of the Guardians of the Galaxy comic? Well yeah, but they also probably  see, as this is a comic store and they keep comics showcased for a few months at times (depending on the store) a butt-load of other Guardian related comics, get overwhelmed and say screw it.

I went and looked up what a customer COULD see, and most likely would have, if they walked into a comic shop looking for just a Guardians comic for themselves or their kid after watching the movie ...
(let's just say they have never been in a store prior to this)
Would you feel good about what you are looking for after seeing this?
(All comics came out with-in a month of each other)

Guardians of the Galaxy: Grounded #19
All-New Guardians of the Galaxy #1
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy #1
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy #2
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy #3
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy #4
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mother Entropy #5
Guardians of the Galaxy: Future Fight #1
Guardians of the Galaxy: Dream On #1
Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout #1
Guardians of the Galaxy: Eco-Sport Adventure (free comic)
Marvel Universe: Guardians of the Galaxy #18
Starlord Annual #1
Gamora #5
I am Groot #1
Rocket Raccoon #1 (from the current series)
Rocket Raccoon #5 (from the last series)
And who knows ... maybe even the old Drax series

COME ON, MAN!!!!
Have a damn comic that people can walk in and grab if they want to. I know movies do little, at all, to help comic sales, but I also know that after the Wonder Woman movie there were a bunch of young girls that walked into stores looking for a comic about her!!!

Stupid Marvel decision makers.

Damn Perry, I truly had no idea that's how Marvel is throwing everything at the wall/retailer/person.

I mean, there is a part where some of that makes sense (those number of titles).

Could you imagine going into a toy story aisle, and seeing them all there only around the movie release? Maybe 2-3 months of 1 shot releases for each of the characters? Pick your favorite, then maybe see if there is a comic store to walk into and see the main title and pick that up?

I read all I want on Unlimited, but there isn't a single one there that I'm reading!!! *

*(I'm also still bitter about Bendis' rewrite/change of all them, especially after he said he didn't read any of the prior volume by DnA and just wrote stuff based off the movie and editorial notes of character descriptions)

What the EFFF?Huh??

I did not know that.  How do you not go back and read THE reason a movie was created??  No wonder his GotG sucks!  Unbelievable.
