Okay so I read issue one, and having to bite me teeth about some of Spencer's political points of view ... one that is so high on Hillary Clinton that he can't see reason ... so much so that I had to stop following him on twitter and told him that very thing not too long ago -
... but I can't see what all the fervor is about. There is nothing here that hasn't been done to countess other comic characters. It's comics for heaven's sake. Maybe I am just apathetic as I don't really care too much about Cap comics now and haven't for a few years (I mean, they're fine, I enjoy them, but ya know ...). I just don't get the anger nor why anyone would send fucking death threats over a comic. Look, I was pissed about the Mary Jane thing, yes, I admit, and I may have gone too far. But I never, ever came close to threatening someones life over a freaking fictional event. And the difference between my anger with Mary Jane and Peter was that it made no sense. This, for storytelling, kinda does.
It doesn't mean it is real. I mean comic book real. I mean, who says it wasn't part of the plan all along? I highly doubt they are taking Steve Rogers and making him
Ya know?
