I was 11 when this first aired, so I remember nothing about it, but check out this old Mike Douglas Show clip. Really impressed with Jamie Farr, and yes, I know a lot of you young peeps have no idea who that is, but he really knew his comics. He was a true fan (even though you can tell Mike Douglas is not)

The way they handled those books in this clip Shocked EEEKKK.

And the one for $1,500 ... sure, I will buy that for that amount.  Grin

For those that don't want to read the short article, Wendy Pini (who later creates ELFQUEST) also makes a brief appearance at the end

Well that $1,500 issue #1 of Superman is about $150,000 now (based on video appearance)  Smiley

EDIT - and that CAPTAIN AMERICA COMICS #28 is about 5,000 (which I thought would be higher, actually)

Yea. haha. And I hate that ... damn ... what was his name? Ummm Rex something or ... I think he was a columnist or movie reviewer. Damn it.
