Issues 1 & 2

Thumbs up.  Finally, Cable and Hope are back together.  I wasn't thrilled to see Dr Nemesis in the lineup but in the context of the story it makes sense that he's needed.  My favorite quote is from Cable in issue 1 when Forge gives him a new mechanical arm.  "That a joke? I asked you to make my arm work.  Not strap me to a howitzer.  This is the silliest thing I've ever worn.  Think we both know that's really saying something..."

The two part story focus' mainly on Hope and Domino with flashbacks to Cable building the team and setting up the larger spanning arc.  It's not the comic the Internet will be fawning over but I liked it.

7 out of 10 howitzer arms.

Not sure why I never liked Cable as a character. Must have to do with the Liefeld connection. I will say that this title did seem intriguing. I will never get it due to my X-ban (If I am not getting PAD's X stuff, I am certainly not buying any other writer) but it did seem like something I would like. Keep us posted.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley
