Joker question
«

So I keep seeing ads for this "Death In The Family" crossover.
Just wondering what happened to Joker's face? Did someone cut it off or did he cut it off since - you know - he's crazy? Was it an accident?
What's up with his grill?

He had someone (I forget who) cut his face off in the early run (issue 1 or 2) of the new DETECTIVE COMICS. Yes, willingly. He wanted it done.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters

So then there's just a rotting mass of flesh on top of his face?

Yep. Something like that. Not revealed yet why he did it.

Maybe he doesn't know how disguises work.
Joker: "I cut off my face so no one knows it's me!"
Batman: "Or you could have just put on a mask."
Joker: "What's this now?"

He's the Joker. Since when has he needed a reason for anything?
