DCBS customers have to wait an extra week due to Diamond holding off shipping PREVIEWS for a week, so my shipment will be here next week (Jeff as well, I believe).

Why do you guys deal with that? Do you not have a local comic shop in your area?

Yep, but my comics cost about half as much going through DCBS compared to using my LCS. If you look at an order I had about a month ago as an example, with what a paid vs cost at LCS ....

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #693 - $2.39 - $3.99
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #694 - $2.39 - $3.99
AQUAMAN #0 - $1.79 - $2.99
BATMAN #0 - $2.39 - $3.99
DAREDEVIL #18 - $1.79 - $2.99
FANTASTIC FOUR #610 - $1.79 - $2.99
FF #2 - $1.79 - $2.99
GREEN LANTERN #0 - $1.79 - $2.99
GREEN LANTERN CORPS #0 - $1.79 - $2.99
GUARDING THE GLOBE #1 - $1.49 - $2.99
HAWKEYE #2 - $1.79 - $2.99
PREVIEWS #288 SEPTEMBER 2012 -   $1.12 - $4.50
RACHEL RISING #11 - $2.59 - $3.99
TALON #0 - $1.79 - $2.99
WINTER SOLDIER #10 -$1.79    - $2.99
WINTER SOLDIER #11 - $1.79 - $2.99
WALKING DEAD HC VOL 08 - $20.99 - $34.99
POWERS DEFINITIVE HC VOL 05 -$20.99 - $39.99
Shipping - $6.50 - 0
----------------------
Totals - DCBS = $75.17 (with shipping ... monthly) Vs. LCS = $128.33 - Equates to a $53.16 in savings. I can wait an extra week for $50 a month in savings.
 Grin

And it is not the fault of DCBS when Diamond holds PREVIEWS back. Plus, DCBS gives is the option to wait a week or ship it anyway.

Actually they sent mine without previews.  Got it in Friday but haven't had a chance to post the list yet. (Can't cut and paste from the DCBS site with the iPhone).

That's odd. Did you get the e-mail about the delay? Are you sure you ordered PREVIEWS for this month?

Yep.  I got the email about the delay and it told me they were sending it without.  I'm a twice a month shipper - maybe that's why?  Just double checked and yes, I did order it.

Well that sounds better than my 10% discount at my LCS. I'll have to check into that.
