I've read the two Phoenix ones and from what I remember they were fun.  I haven't read that first one but it is something I'm sure I would like.  I lived the What If stories back in the day. The current attempts to revive the series haven't had that same level of fun.  Not sure why but just wasn't the same.

I picked up some more Batman: Knightfall/Knightquest/Knightsend related stuff.

Dang, getting all the Knightfall/Knightquest/Knightsend issues and everything connected to it is a much bigger undertaking than I thought. There's soooo much.

I still need a few random Az-Bat issues, and Batman: Vengeance of Bane I & II.

Good run, but not light reading. Busiek tries, and does a great job, fixing all the time and continuity errors in the AVENGERS, brought forth from having a ton of issues and a ton of different writers ... and a ton of time travel based stories with Immortus/Kang over the years.

Not something you can whip through as it does go deep in Avengers history, but give it the time it deserves and you should enjoy.

Hell, I may have to read it again now.

Yeah, up to about issue #4. I'm saving it for downtime at work when I'm doing nothing but sitting and waiting, since it's a nice long read. (Which happens a couple times a week for an hour or 2 at a time).

I am intrigued, but most of what's going on is still sort of a mystery that's unfolding. So I don't have much to say about it, yet. Well except that Kang seemed to be very heroic and out of character.

Check out what came with my order of comics! How cool is that?!

It's a little rough, but I'm not gonna complain. I paid $1 for it. And it's cool to just go back in time and see where all that kind of stuff was back then. They just don't make magazines this cool anymore.

My answer of jest now seems a bit curt, so let me add that yes, those were some cool mags. I remember buying those along with Star Trek Log, Fangora and a couple more back in the day. There was a time I went to a highschool out of district, so I would stop by the "Southern News" (the newstand near the city bus stop) early in the morning and pick one up from time to time. They were very useful on the ride to high-school in passing the time while also helping me ignore the stranger that smelled oddly of Scotch at 6:15 in the AM

^ No worries.

I got this bad boy from Goodwill yesterday for only $1.49!

Full TPB!

It's Mark Waid writing Superman, it's got to be good!

It was a great day at Goodwill, today, I also left with all of this:

Movies:
-Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
-Escape From the Planet of the Apes
-Hannibal
-Silence of the Lambs

CDs:
-Disturbed - Believe
-Scorpions - Crazy World
-W.A.S.P. - The Headless Children
-W.A.S.P. - Inside the Electric Circus

-ECW: Hardcore Revolution (Game Boy Color game, still in the original packaging with all the old ads, the booklet, and a free poster!)
